COTD Second Step problem...

I may be the only but when Nikolai activates the security system and we are sent to destroy them, I can't.

I use frags close range but they don't turn off.

Sometimes some break, but normally I am left with an invincible MDT security system.

Anyone know what is up? Am I just doIng ssomething wrongly?

Make sure you're aiming for the glowing red bit on top. It's those you have to hit. Frags can be a little unpredictable so I advise going for the Crossbow or the Scavenger. Semtex is better than frags, but try for Bow or Scav

Make sure the explosion is above the device. If the explosion hits the glowing red area you're good.

Depends which generator you're stuck on?

[*]For the 1st one in the PHD room, you can throw the frag on the floor anywhere near the generator.

[*]The one outside PHD you should aim for the light.

[*]The one by Staminup you can throw it in the water near the generator (be sure to cook it) and the light goes out.

[*]The one by Double Tap is hard if you dont open the section up, if you open up Double Tap it's pretty simple.

[*]The one underneath MP40 is pretty simple.

Try to use a China Lake if you still have difficulty.

Thx guys the generators blew up now.

Frags must have missed them.

I think they needm to make them more sensitive, I threw over 18 semtexs and it wouldn't blow up, then I shot it twice with a scavenger, 1st one didn't work but the 2nd did

i had trouble on the double tap generator i shot 20 m72 law rounds at it and it didn't work but it worked after i threw a semtex at it
