Help with recording PS3

I really want to start recording my knife only gun games but I don't really want to buy a really expensive recoding device.

So my question: Is it possible to record your TV with your computer? I mean connect my pc to my ps3 or tv and it will record the audio and video.

Help would be much appreciated.

Buy a cheap capture card but still you need to have a good pc to do all this.

Ok so you need a capture card you can't do it with just a pc tv and ps3. Can you send me some cheap capture cards? I have a macbook pro btw

cards start from $50 to $300. Try dazzle,I use is black magic intensity ($180) and is totally worth every penny.

I don't think so.

I asume I can easily record with my IBM thinkpad notebook?

You do need a decent/fast computer to record or at least you do for a Hd pvr.

I just recently bought a Dazzle, it and the few cables that i didnt have only ran me bout $100 bucks total from Best Buy. Not GREAT quality but it turns out fine. I just have an average laptop also. Click the link in my sig and you can see some of the footage ive gotten. Id suggest the Ascension One Weapon videos those are more entertaining than the others.
