Please help!! Moon/Shangri-La/CotD item problem

So, I want to complete the full Moon Easter Egg on PS3. I have both the CotD (co-op) and Shangri-La Easter Egg trophies yet no items appear in Richtofen's inventory when starting Moon! As I understand, if you have only done Shangri-La you will have the Focusing Stone in his inventory on Moon; if you've done both you'll have the Golden Rod (which has been fused with the Focusing Stone) on Moon; and if you've done neither or just CotD then you'll have nothing when start Moon! If the previous statements are correct I have some questions:

1. Does anyone know if this is a glitch?

2. Does the game search your trophies or save game data to establish if you've completed the previous Easter Eggs? I may have quit game after getting the trophy so it may not have saved my game, despite having the trophy. It may be that the game needs to end naturally so that the scoreboard is shown.

3. Does it matter if I did the previous 2 Easter Eggs LAN instead of online? Please note that they were not done split-screen though.

It looks like I might have to do Shangri-La again. I started to investigate whether the game recognises that I've completed the CotD Easter Egg.....when starting Shangri-La solo last night Richtofen had the Golden Rod. When I started Shangri-La with my wife's PSN profile Richtofen did not have the Golden Rod (as she has not got any Black Ops trophies). So I thought his was good news!! However when I played co-op over PSN on my 2 PS3s (both split screen), none of the 4 players had the Golden Rod, even when I was Richtofen and the host, despite having done the previous Easter Eggs. Unfortunately this leaves more queries:

4. Is the Golden Rod not given in split-screen?

5. Is the Golden Rod not given in online split-screen?

6. Does Black Ops only recognise my CotD solo Easter Egg, which is why it gives me the Golden Rod in solo and not co-op?

With regards to question 5 it might be that Black Ops will recognise my completing the CotD co-op Easter Egg and issue me with the Golden Rod in Shangri-La online co-op, (but doesn’t in split-screen), however I could only try split-screen online as I only have 2 PS3s and 2 copies of Black Ops, not 4 PS3s and 4 copies of Black Ops! I guess the question I want to know is, will Black Ops give me the Golden Rod in Shangri-La if I play with 4 players online NOT split-screen? This is the only scenario I could not test due to lack of hardware!! I’m trying to rule out having to do CotD again (online co-op) although it is not nearly as awkward as Shangri-La.

This is a huge ball ache as I’ve completed both Easter Eggs and do not want to have to rely on someone else to have done these to fully complete Richtofen’s Grand Scheme on Moon! Shangri-La was awkward and by rights I should start with the correct item on Moon.

Any help would be appreciated – although not theories please, only facts. 

Try to play a game where you are the host. If you have done both EE in the previous maps, whoever you are playing with who becomes Richtofen should have the rod. You don't see the Focusing Stone on your inventory in Moon.

Oh, and after re-reading your post, you most likely have to have done the EEs in co-op online for them to count towards the Moon one.

With all the senarios I've tried I made sure I was host. I guess LAN doesn't count which is a joke seeing as you still get the co-op trophies. I may still be able to rule out repeating CotD if I have the Rod when playing Shangri-La online with 3 other players who don't have the trophies.

Alternatively I may have to repeat Shangri-La and stay until the end - as Richtofen says he'll take the Focusing Stone from whoever has it. This means the game checks your Save Data and not your trophies.
