Well let's think about this. In all honesty, we never did get an actual explanation for the perk machines. The terminal says nothing, I've looked through all of the World at War intel and there is nothing. I'm curious, where did we ever hear that the perks were made for super soldiers? Was that a confirmed thing or a community created statement that caught wind? I'm only asking because the signs imply the perks have always been there, and I want to see about this for sure. Not saying 935 didn't make the perks, but I want to look into it.

EDIT: I know the perk machines are glitching and stuff, meaning they don't belong, but I'm just bringing it up as a Devil's Advocate.

Yeah I am in theater mode right now going through me and Murder's playthrough going through in free roam and in 1st person to find different things on walls and stuff. That's when I saw the Pic of the Tower of Babel of the fireplace in the Warden's Office and all those photo's on the board on the wall in his office too.

In no point has anyone hinted about the origins of the perk machines in zombies history. That is fact.

I think the common belief is that Group 935 made them and I think AlphaSnake said in his old thread that Richtofen made them. But if they were made by Richtofen or Maxis there would be mention in the quotes. I mean Richtofen brags about his inventions and talks a lot about Maxis inventions.

There is no clear answer to who made them and what they are made out of. I have always thought they were just cannon a simple gameplay feature with not that of a big meaning to the story. But unfortunately MotD seems to take that chance away

Murder I was still going through our playthrough and I found a interesting quote my character WEASEL says ALL OF YOU ARE GONNA WANNA READ THIS: We need to get the parts for the work bench, that's what we did last time.

Weasel said this, Murder if you wanna hear the quote for yourself its my character on our almost 2 hour play and its at 25:40 (lil after that but before 25:47, at the time he says this quote we are outside on the Docks and I just picked up a piece for the shield apparently). This is word for word what the character says I replayed it turned off the sound effects so I don't hear anything but him speaking :). I am enjoying looking for story stuff here be nice to have company though :P

Does zombies ever make any sense though? And yeah MMX you still want that video.

Lol yes and no. But they say that it's that date because Fergusson says it, but that makes no sense, he can't document the date of the map if we killed him and he turned into a Zombie.

Those recordings are from different time line.

In the map itself we relive that date (New Years Eve 1933) for what ever reason. Until Arlington kills the others and escapes. You see we change the history that was told on the recordings.

What makes you say that? What gives you the impression of multidimensional theory? How is your interpretation formed? Give us SOMETHING besides just saying "this is how it is".

Hmm... So originally, we kill him and are executed for it in 1944. But then we go back in time to New Years Eve, 1933, to keep him alive and have him kill us?

I would say "No."

Yeah but the Achievement pops if you kill Arlington Pop goes the Weasel which states break the cycle. Meaning killing him is breaking the cycle. Your saying let Arlington kill you to break the cycle but that's the opposite of how people have been getting the achievement thus far.

I don't know what to say about that. I'll hold my thoughts on the conclusion of the Side Mission until I can experience it myself.

this shows they killed Arlington and the achievement popped for them for breaking the cycle.

I'm not sure what to make of this.

Yeah, but I made typo the execution was taken place in 1934 not 44.

Was this in the backstory seen in the Side Mission?

this shows they killed Arlington and the achievement popped for them for breaking the cycle.

Yes they killed him and it says CYCLE CONTINUES... but if Arlington kills the others it will say THE CYCLE IS BROKEN

Are you sure? You've seen it both ways? Apparently there's more than one ending again?

So what happens to Al after he kills the other three? And any idea why we're repeating till Al does that? I mean...why him?

I haven't heard any radios or anything so I'm not really up to date on this maps story.

Same here in regards to the question and the "radios".

Ok thanks for the clarification. I'm still trying to understand this date. So we killed Al on Dec 31, 1933, during this exact escape, and Ferguson lived to tell about it. So was there only Zombies in this re-creation of the event?

That... doesn't make any sense... to me, anyway.

Yes, I'm sure that the zombies were only after this thing started the cycle/loop.

Because he was guard for years after this escape plan failed and the prisoners were executed.

Then explain how Alcatraz was AWARE of the presence of zombies.

Found this sure someone else mentioned it too:

Yeah MMX posted that in is thread.

Yup.

But we've wondered where Fluffy is all this time. The answer is that she teleported not in space but in TIME. Btw, most of the stuff you are attributing to Maxis is actually more attributable to Richtofen. Pretty much the only things Maxis created himself were the Ray Gun and 31-79 JGb215. Richtofen made a lot of the other stuff, including zombies.

Well still speaking of time, how would Fluffy been teleported at all if Maxis and Richtofen didn't even try the teleportation experiments on the pups till the 40's? The evidence is quite clear that this is BEFORE Sam, before the Der Riese outbreak. None of that even happened yet.

H*llhounds can teleport AT WILL. They don't need a Teleporter nor a receptacle. Fluffy was the first H*llhound brought into the Aether by a Teleporter, but she never reappeared that we knew of. Well perhaps that is because she reappeared here, back in time? Before the '40's. BEFORE Samantha.

Aether seems to have the ability to mutate. Fluffy can only go partway through a moving portal. Her babies are more adept at the environment and are able to spawn fully at will. Even Samantha, her voice was permanently altered by the environment. The Gas Zombies you could say were mutated by the Aether as well into the Jumping Jacks.

I saw some of those. These are reasons why I think this facility was "zombi-aware". We might need to get GRILL, PINNAZ, or somehow to take a picture of this board for full analysis.

He was saying Warden or Wardens. No apostrophe.

Well let's think about this. In all honesty, we never did get an actual explanation for the perk machines. Nowhere? The only "super soldier" thing is regurgitation alone. The closest thing we've ever had to super soldiers is the zombies. The perks were made as Verruckt said to be "engineered beverages".

I still think 935 made the Perks. Our history over the Perks: nothing changes. I say they are just being temporally displaced.

Yeah I am in theater mode right now going through me and Murder's playthrough going through in free roam and in 1st person to find different things on walls and stuff. That is not. Verruckt said the Perks were "engineered beverages". Verruckt is a 935 base. 935 made Juggernog, Speed Cola, Double-Tap Root Beer, and Quick Revive.

I think AlphaSnake thinks Satan made them. At least the Pack-A-Punch anyway.

I think that is because while we say they "can't" remember casually, it's more correct to say their memory is more of a deja vu. They can but they can't. The mind is a fickle thing.

Well Weasel states "We need to get the parts for the workbench, that's what we did the last time" that's exactly what he said I gave you the time in our playthrough and its not to far in if you wish for me to record the quote and upload it I can but it be uploaded on call of duty so you'd have to see it via my player channel. I have been hard at work doing this. Bit of info for you btw did you know in theater mode if you are viewing someone in Afterlife mode you can pause it then go in free roam and you can see almost all the Afterlife things, you can go through the walls and all that you could since your free roaming from a character who is in after life mode. I said almost because there is one wall you cannot go through but you don't even know its a afterlife wall even if your in afterlife (hidden path behind the poster in the jail cell doesn't glow if your in afterlife is why) but yeah thought that be nice for you all :P

Well in the recording this guard tells about story that happened long new year's eve in 1933 in stormy night. And it resulted failure Al was killed and the others executed after January 19th 1934. He tells he was guard from 1933-44.

What makes me think its multidimentional story? Well no mention of zombies, all good in the story crooks were killed and life continued go on. All good.

As we play it is STORMY night and there is new year's fireworks going on in the sky and we are in the loop escaping again and again.

IMO the most logical explanation is that the one who controls the zombies started to change events in past summoning the zombies and changing the history till Arlington survived.

What you mean by aware? But I guess when this thing started to change the history it might have started to build its plan further back from the time than that specific new years eve when his plan comes together.

For example take warden in control and make him do satanic rituals etc.?

That's not the warden. I just zoomed in on his badge it says Alcatraz Guard San Francisco

But the Golden Gate ones are exactly like the main map Warden? And that was referred as Warden in the trailers. :/

What trailer specifically said warden I heard this boss like zombie. Also the one I am zoomed in on is on Alcatraz it actually appears the next round after the quote I was mentioning earlier for murder to check in our play through. I paused the vid went into free roam got close to his badge and it is plain as day what it reads. Which is what I typed.

Yes, there is no Warden on this map; we see guards and Brutus, who is also a guard. That isn't to say that the Warden (based on the discoveries in his office) wasn't involved in any satanic rituals. In fact, there are way too many things being shown to us that points to him knowing about the zombie outbreaks within the prison and possibly even becoming in contact with the Devil via those rituals.

Posted

I never said the warden wasn't involved in any ritual I actually pointed out many of them here within the last few hours. I was saying the big guard chasing you was not the warden.

Before the map came out I posted theory about Warden coming in contact with Vril-Ya/Devil and he started to worship them with satanic rituals and human sacrifices.

He turned his own prison into a sacrifice altar for the demons. In result infesting the place with zombies as he opened hell's/aether's gates. I think that was step one in the demon's plan and next step was to prevent Weasels death.

Why Weasel though? Why him and not any of the others. Specify your reasoning (still refuse to think its Devil, Satan, or whatever you wish to call the being currently in control)

Posted

just wanted to throw in a unrelated point I noticed in the map, I was looking at one of the clocks and it was stuck at 1:15 with the second hand moving the same way it was in der riese. could this have some thing to do with the loop, are we traped in time?

Did we ever get an explaination for the clock in der riese, if there we did then the same thing should apply here right?
