Alright sweet! Yeah I had always assumed 1942, just given the "it took two years" stuff Richtofen was saying. Glad I could help :D

Yes, it must've been early on in 1943. Thank you.

I'm starting on a new paragraph to go in between P06 and P07.

P06B.Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel decided they were going to get out of Alcatraz. Knowing what happened to anyone that misbehaved, they showed their very best behavior, making the staff of Alcatraz grow fond of them. Sal chatted with the guards about their personal lives. Finn looked in the newspapers and put his knowledge of the city and people to use by advising the guards where gambling their money would be profitable. The Weasel was usually well-mannered, except for the occasional fake doctor visit. Billy, not being able to prevent himself from saying violent remarks, agreed with the staff he would not speak unless asked to do so. One time they asked him to explain the history of his inmates, and so he told them how they got there.

The link isn't working yet, of course.

"Billy, not being able to prevent himself from saying violent remarks, agreed with the staff he would not speak unless asked to do so."

Is that personal conjecture, or is that hinted on something inside the trailer? I mean I know Ferguson said "No talking!" and all, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else, in regards to the "violent remarks" portion of the sentence.

Ferguson said "You know the rules, no talking." This means that Billy and him had discussed this before. Also, the fact that these four weren't hanged means that they must have been sucking up to the guards. And that is one of the few things I think Billy could offer: not talking. Also note that this rule seems exclusive to Billy.

Posted

They could've just been kept alive to be used in the Warden's rituals too. Though hanging wasn't really a practice at this time anymore. I mean if it had been there was no need to have Alcatraz to be converted to a Maximum Security Prison for those that were far to dangerous for a ordinary prison. They would've just hung all those prisoners or they would've died by Firing Squad. Heck that's why there were always the tabloids trying to determine if they were really killing people via Electric Chair because it was illegal unless court ordered.

I think Alcatraz was doing many illegal things and just covered them up. How many people do you think actually went there to see if their claims were true? (And how many of those actually returned?)

Actually you'd be surprised at the amount of people who went there to try to expose Alcatraz and returned. It was widely believed they were doing illegal things there but nothing really could be proven except for some minor things.

I've got the next one:

P06C.The Weasel told Sal, Billy, and Finn about a plan he had to escape Alcatraz, where they would craft a plane and fly off the island. They had some of the inmates stash parts of the planned plane around Alcatraz. After preparing for an unknown length of time, they enacted the plan on December 31, 1933. However, the plan was not successful. The tension created bickering within the group. Sal, Billy, and Finn blamed the Weasel for their failure, so they lured the Weasel to the roof and killed him with shivs. When they were caught, Sal, Billy, and Finn were sentence to the Electric Chair. They were executed on January 19, 1934. Stanely Ferguson was a security guard who saw the whole thing happen. He ended up retiring in 1942 and later told about the events that had unfolded with this infamous escape attempt.

I typed up one of the "monologs" given by the new characters when downed.

Finn:

"It’s always the dames isn’t it, it’s like they have a f***ing sixth sense that leads them right onto your blind spot. Anglia, how f***ing stupid can you get. She was an actress Finn saying things she didn’t mean was a way of life to her. She never loved you, she was only interested in what you could do for her. Not only did you marry her but you let her know the ins and outs of your business, you shared details Finn, you should have known better. Secrets are there for a reason pal."

They seem to be giving us a bit more of a back story to the new guys.

I'm tiring to get more but it seems very random when they will say them and even when I am trying to get these to activate they are pretty rare

Thanks nayrc. I've heard them too, but I always get them cut off. I think it only does it if there is no one near you to revive you, i.e. the game says there is a high chance that you will die.

Seems like Finn truly loved his wife, but she backstabbed him. :(

I think you may be right about when they are activated, got 2 and a bit more

AL:

"Are you scared AL? You should be, if they don’t suspect you already they will soon and then what? What will you do when the truth’s reviled, when your whole house of cards comes tumbling down? Will you confess or will you run? Where will you run Albert? All around the mulberry Bush. There’s nowhere to run nowhere to hide, you know there’s one way this is going to end AL. Poor, poor weasel."

Billy:

“Daddy had no idea did he billy, just a hard working Joe tiring to put food on the table for his wife and son. He though he was the only one bringing money into the house, he had no idea what was really going on”- Got cut off due to revive

“It’s ironic isn’t it Billy, the harder you try not to feel anything the more it actually hurts. You use to think you could push it all onto someone else, someone who actually deserved it, so many victims, so much pain, but you can’t push it away can you? Even when you hurt other it doesn’t make it stop does it. You got to just accept what you are Billy, a monster. ”

Still cant get one from sal

I got another one for weasel:

"Rejection hurts, but it’s not the worst is it Albert? What really hurts is to be ignored, you know how that fells better than anyone don’t you. Sure they want your skills, your expertise but only on their terms they don’t care what else you have to offer, how different you could be if only they noticed you. Is that why you lie to them? Why you promise thing you can’t deliver? Be careful Al one day your promises may come back to bite ya."

Do you think I should make my own thread to catalog all of these or is it OK if i just keep posting them here?

You can if you want. I'm not going to use everything from them. But they do contain useful information. Here we see that apparently Albert knew his plane plan wasn't going to work but didn't say anything.

I just got to Round 33 as Finn. I learned some interesting stuff. Finn is Irish. Also, the Acid Trap and Blade Trap were built by the mobsters in their infinitely long stay there.

EDIT: Seems Lucifer says multiple things when you put 115 in. He says, "I don't think so" and "Maybe next time".

EDIT: Btw, everyone is like "What's up with the transition from grayscale to color in the intro?" I have the answer. In grayscale, it is detailing the first re-do that Lucifer made them do. In color, it skips to a much, much later one where the place is destroyed.

P06D.Lucifer then, for whatever reason, decided to punish the four mobsters by making them relive that last night together.

They tried to escape, with the Weasel this time killing Ferguson. However, Ferguson then reanimated as a zombie. After killing him, they then fought off more zombies until they died. They were the only living people within Alcatraz; everyone else were now zombies. For them, it was always New Year's Eve, 1933. Lucifer had them in a time loop, constantly fighting zombies. When they died, he brought them back, and that happened multiple times. However, Sal, Finn, Billy, and the Weasel were persistent. They built traps around Alcatraz, and they built a ramp for the plane. Every time they died, they forgot everything that happened within the time loop, leaving them with only déjà vu. The Weasel, however, kept a personal journal. Using the journal, he began to think himself crazy with all that was happening in addition to finding his own handwriting in his journal, without him remembering that he wrote it. He attributed such writing to what he called the Editor, and at first he didn't realize that he was the Editor. Eventually, the Weasel realized what was going on, and he used his journal to remember for him.

P06E.The mobsters had company. In addition to the zombies, the Beast was present. However, it could not enter the time loop completely, so it just instead stuck each of its three heads through a portal. It just wanted to eat fresh zombie corpses. There was also another entity from Aether named Brutus. He took the form of an extremely armored security guard, and he attacked the mobsters in the form of Lucifer's bidding. Just like the mobsters, Lucifer would resurrect him when he died, sometimes making him cross his own time-stream. Lucifer created many artifacts to create a challenge in the mobsters' survival, such as the Mystery Box, which gave them futuristic weapons, and Power-Ups, which altered the state of things as well. Lucifer also allowed the mobsters a fighting chance of multiple deaths in one life through a ghostly apparition they called the Afterlife, which basically acted as a freebie. After many, many tries, the Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel finally got it right. They began to fight their way through the zombies.

Then they searched and found the Warden's key. They fed each of the Beast's heads fresh zombie corpses until it was satiated, and in return it gave them a powerful weapon called the H*ll's Retriever.

P06F.Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel then set out to find the parts to the plane, which required them to use the Afterlife quite a few times. They found the Tanks at the Dock, the Rigging in the Citadel Tunnels, the Engine in the Warden's Office, the Uniforms in the Showers, and the Control Valves in the Infirmary. They then went to the roof to build the plane. Using some metal found on the roof, they built the frame. They put the uniforms on top of it as cloth to hold the structure together over the Rigging. The Engine and Control Valves were put in place to fly the thing. The Weasel named the creation Icarus. They took off on Icarus, but it didn't fly far enough. They reached the Golden Gate Bridge that was still in construction and crashed right into it. They fell onto the unfinished street, and Icarus fell into the ocean. The mobsters fortunately survived the fall. They fought to survive against the zombies and incarnations of Brutus that were even more numerous there, and they found four Electric Chairs. After exhausting every other means of escape, they forfeited, and they killed themselves on their own terms, by Electric Chair.

Input people!

Looks really good, MMX, just need to put in the Side Quest and it appears you'll have gotten most, if not all, of the story of the mobsters.

After exhausting every other means of escape, they forfeited, and they killed themselves on their own terms, by Electric Chair.

P06G.When they killed themselves, Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel reappeared back at Alcatraz in the Afterlife before returning to fighting zombies again. For an unknown reason, dying by Electric Chair was an exemption to the memory loss. One of them managed to upgrade the H*ll's Retriever into the H*ll's Redeemer. They also found six skulls throughout Alcatraz that were stuck in the Afterlife, probably due to the Warden's rituals. They retrieved those, which revealed the Warden's Blundergat. They reconstructed the Acid Gat Kit to turn the Blundergat into the Acid Gat, so that they could Pack-A-Punch it into the Vitriolic Withering rather than the Sweeper, which is what it would be without the acid. They also received the Golden Spork, which was a weapon crafted by Lucifer. They tried to fly Icarus again, but they got the same result. They tried it a third time; they still crashed, and each time they did so they had to use the Electric Chairs to return. They then put their prison identification numbers inside the machine within the Citadel Tunnels in Alcatraz in order to elicit a response. Lucifer responded, and he gave them a recording that told them what happened to them that day and beyond.

P06H.Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel then learned what would happen in their future, and it made Sal, Billy, and Finn doubt whether they could trust the Weasel anymore. Eventually, they tried going into the Afterlife and boarding Icarus while in the Afterlife. They flew Icarus, still crashing into the Golden Gate Bridge. When they arrived, they jumped back into their previously dead bodies in the Electric Chairs. Some incarnations of Brutus then spawned, and Brutus turned traitorous to his master, Lucifer, by telling the zombies to attack only Sal, Billy, and Finn. Neither Brutus nor the zombies were even trying to attack the Weasel. Sal, Billy, and Finn thought the Weasel had pulled something mischievous to get the zombies to side with only him, and a gun fight broke out, with Sal, Billy, and Finn versus the Weasel, Brutus, and the zombies.

Defending himself, the Weasel managed to kill Sal, Billy, and Finn. It's not exactly known why, but somehow the similarity of the circumstances to how events had taken place before of a fight between them made a pivotal point in the cycle. Sal, Billy, and Finn were supposed to kill the Weasel, but when the Weasel killed Sal, Billy, and Finn, the change broke the cycle, changing the course of history. Brutus had sided with the Weasel to make sure this would happen. The Weasel, free now, was able to safely and simply walk away, escaping the ruin of Alcatraz.

P06I.Alcatraz was not closed, however. Plans for reconstruction began, and Alcatraz Island was still used as a prison. One day, a riot broke out. The riot was relatively successful because of the decaying structure of the prison, but then Lucifer decided to intervene. He put the four rioting prisoners and the four prison guards on duty in a time-loop similar to the one he used previously, and he made them fight to survive against zombies with only one team of four surviving.

They fought in the Cell Block of Alcatraz against his zombies until only one team survived. It is not known which team survived. In July of 1934, Alcatraz Island was completely reconstructed as a United States federal prison, and all trace of what had happened was removed.

This brings me to the last step of the Side Mission, which is to say the most important. What happens exactly? Why do the zombies side with Al? I think this is the reason:

viewtopic.php?f=149&t=31095

I really think FatedTitan was on to something. I think the only reason the zombies and Brutus would side with Al is if Brutus undermined Lucifer to break them out of the cycle for his own means.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: In lieu of a response, I'm going to just keep editing and adding. If anyone has ANYTHING to say, it'll be a matter of post-editing.

Just bothered me there for a second. :P

This is great work, friendo. I'm not too sure about getting into detail with items such as the Acid Gat or Hell's Redeemer since they aren't necessarily related to the story, but I don't mind it being there myself.

Just a thought here: are we certain that Brutus - according to these - turned on Lucifer during the final step of Pop Goes the Weasel? I thought he didn't necessarily have any power over the other zombies.

Infest, what bothered you?

I think those things need to go in-depth. Otherwise, what is the explanation for their presence? They are just as in-depth as the Thundergun and Matryoshka Dolls.

And no, we are not. That's why I wanted input. For some reason, the zombies allied with Al. Lucifer certainly wouldn't do that. So who did? Brutus is the only one left.

P06C: "Sentence" is supposed to be "sentenced". I don't know why when I quoted, the color didn't change it.

Well, the Hell's Retriever has significance to the story (obtaining the crystal skulls), but not the Hell's Redeemer. I kinda figured if you were going to list a certain item, it ought to have some kind of backstory as to the relation of the stated events.

But what if Lucifer did? We don't know for certain. If you read Fated's Brutus theory (absolutely wonderful by the way), he would technically not have any true power to make all the zombies side with Al. I think it is very plausible though for Brutus to have some kind of objection to Lucifer and also "persuade" the zombies to attack Sal, Finn and Billy, but there just isn't any evidence to point it in that direction. I would say leave that portion out then until we can all come to a consensus on it being the case, but hey - that's just my two cents. :)

Well, I can only do so much if no one posts. I think Fated was right. Lucifer purposefully trapped them in Purgatory. And you think "What if he changed his mind?" I think Brutus did it.

But then from what power can Brutus change the direction of zombies in regards to who they attack? Would he really have that much influence on the zombies if he is trapped? I can't wrap my head around as to why Brutus would select Al; I can understand that it would be a total 180 from him being killed to him being the killer. It just seems so...interesting how this could happen in a snap.

I think that Brutus knew if Al succeeded they'd be free. As to your other questions, I'm not sure. But I think this is the most probable theory, and I think we should go with it unless proven otherwise.
