A Zombie Trilogy v.III [NOW IN VIDEO]

But Brutus himself was also nothing more than a zombie, despite the kind he was he still was nothing more than a zombie. What kindof power could he possibly possess over all the others, also bear in mind this precedes all other things we know as of yet Infest. What I REALLY would like to know is why in the world did Lucifer let Sam garner control of the zombies later. Not just that but zombies were supposedly created before Sam garnered control and they killed them. That doesn't make any sense then. What would you consider the ones they created? How were these created (Element 115 being on that island doesn't make sense you need evidence to say it was there, we gave evidence of how it got to be on the others and we had stuff in the game to back it up)? What became of these ones currently existing under another beings control? Is Lucifer controlling them the same way as Sam and later Richtofen did? That last question I doubt myself that he is but still, with this map we have more questions and it didn't answer any questions we previously had.

I've noticed that since Alcatraz came out, this thread has been getting roughly between 50 and 200 views per 8 hours. So, those of you, whoever you are, just know that there seems to be some technical difficulty with the post showing up properly due to forum limitations, and I hope to have it resolved soon with the staff. Do not fear, it is not lost. You can still check the additions in the above post. ^

Did you even look at the thread? He is clearly MUCH MORE than just a zombie.

I think the zombies were plucked out of time just like the weapons and Perks.

Lucifer is more a lurker than an actual controller. Samantha pacified him.

I notice that the entire OP is gone.

Whoops, just started reading your other responses. My bad.

Thanks for your concern. I hope it gets fixed soon. Seems I'm one of the few to reach the character limit. :P

Here, I'll post the first 15 paragraphs below:

P01.Thousands of years B.C.E., there was a great catastrophe on Earth. A huge flood nearly killed what was mankind. While some survived on the surface of the planet, some had taken refuge underneath. Earth's crust has always been very porous, allowing layers of habitats underneath the one existing on the surface. As time progressed, the bottom-dwellers, whose race was known as Ana, became more advanced, developing into kingdoms, aristocracies, and democracies. This underground was called many things in man's history; one name was Agartha. By 1871, Sir Edward George Earl Bulwer-Lytton was the first surface-dweller to interact with the Ana. By that time, these people, most specifically the civilization of the Vril-Ya, had formed a utopia, far exceeding the intelligence, technology, and weaponry of any surface nation. He wrote a book about it, announcing Vril-Ya to the surface world, but only a small fraction of the population actually believed him.

P02.Later on June 30th, 1908, a large meteor containing Element 115 exploded shortly before impact upon the Siberian expanse within the Russian Empire. Edward Richtofen was a resident of the German Empire. He was a homosexual, and he had relations with his male roommate at the college he attended. In the Empire of Great Japan, two wealthy Japanese parents had a five-year-old child named Takeo Masaki. They saw him cut off the tails of kittens, and they knew he would bring them honor. Later, in January 1919, the German Empire of World War I transformed into the Weimar Republic. Within the Weimar Republic, Doctor Edward Richtofen practiced back-alley plastic surgery, becoming affluent in politics and quite popular.

P03.Meanwhile, there were physical locations on the Earth's surface that connected Agartha with the outer Earth. One such location was Shangri-La, lost somewhere in the Himalayas. As told in Buddhism, there were three Pyramids built by a highly advanced, technological race, a race from Agartha. They were in actuality vehicles for an unknown purpose. One Pyramid was on the surface; that Pyramid was present in Shangri-La. The other Pyramids were present; however they were catastrophically launched into the sky. One landed upon the Moon, and another moved into orbit around the Earth. The Pyramid on the Moon was a gateway to another dimension called Aether. However, a being lived there already. He was a being so evil that he earned many names. Some called him Satan; some the Devil; others, Hades, Abaddon, Mictlantecuhtli, and Lucifer. Residing with him was his pet, known as the Beast; the Greeks, however, called it Cerberus.

P04.Sometime within this timeframe, the Vril-Ya began an ambitious endeavor. They advanced very rapidly, just like mankind does. Contrary to their culture in 1871, the Vril-Ya, after having colonized the whole of Agartha, decided to leave mankind blissfully unaware of their existence instead of colonizing the surface. The reason for this is unknown The Vril-Ya surfaced in Shangri-La, and they decided to colonize elsewhere. So they used the Pyramid and their sophisticated, unknown technology to transport Shangri-La to Mars. However, something went wrong, and it was transported back to Earth. Over time, evidence of the movement deteriorated away, all except for one remaining Martian mountain range in the middle of the Himalayas next to Shangri-La. Eventually, Asians moved into the area, forming their own culture and language, which was a conglomeration of many modern languages. The whereabouts of the Vril-Ya have since been unknown.

P05.In the late 1920's to early 1930's, mobs were rampant in the United States. Salvatore "Sal" DeLuca was a mob boss who employed various types of people to fulfill the needs of his so-called empire built on alcohol, gambling, and prostitution. Some of the people he employed were Billy Handsome, who killed people violently and publicly for the boss, and Albert "The Weasel" Arlington, who was a con artist and money-handler. Michael "Finn" O'Leary was notable for being the only person who successfully conned the Weasel. Finn loved and was married to an actress named Angelina Bow. Around this time, Alcatraz Prison, Alcatraz Island, San Francisco, California, United States, was operational. Alcatraz held the worst behaved prisoners in the country. Lucifer took it upon himself to meddle in Alcatraz. Upon discovering Lucifer, the Warden of Alcatraz began to worship him and practice many satanic rituals. The Warden also imported a little bit of 115 to be used to manufacture a beverage. He called it a Perk-A-Cola, and the beverage was named Electric Cherry. Upon seeing this, Lucifer plucked other Perks that would be created in the future out of their respective times and placed them within Alcatraz, temporally displacing them.

P06.Lucifer then went even further. In the future, he saw zombies being created. He plucked them out of their time and placed them within Alcatraz as well. The Warden locked them up away from the prisoners and warned them not to get too near the zombies. Meanwhile, most of the prisoners suffered various fates of torture, death, and ritual sacrifices throughout Alcatraz unless they behaved. The Warden also collected Civil War weaponry, and he made a heavily modified creation called the Blundergat that even came with a Acid Gat Kit that would infuse acid with 115 into it. Sal, Billy, and the Weasel ended up getting caught and thrown in Alcatraz. Finn's wife, Angelina, told the authorities what he had been doing. So, Finn was locked up in Alcatraz as well, and his heart was broken. In March 1933, the Nazi Party gained control of the country, turning the Weimar Republic into the Greater German Reich, or Nazi Germany, and they named a new leader of the country, Führer Adolf Hitler. Richtofen wasn't able to be a back-alley surgeon from that point on due to the party's morals, so he joined the Nazi army to satisfy his obsession with death.

P07.Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel decided they were going to get out of Alcatraz. Knowing what happened to anyone that misbehaved, they showed their very best behavior, making the staff of Alcatraz grow fond of them. Sal chatted with the guards about their personal lives. Finn looked in the newspapers and put his knowledge of the city and people to use by advising the guards where gambling their money would be profitable. The Weasel was usually well-mannered, except for the occasional fake doctor visit. Billy, not being able to prevent himself from saying violent remarks, agreed with the staff he would not speak unless asked to do so. One time they asked him to explain the history of his inmates, so he told them how they got there.

P08.The Weasel told Sal, Billy, and Finn about a plan he had to escape Alcatraz, where they would craft a plane and fly off the island. They had some of the inmates stash parts of the planned plane around Alcatraz. After preparing for an unknown length of time, they enacted the plan on December 31, 1933. However, the plan was not successful. The tension created bickering within the group. Sal, Billy, and Finn blamed the Weasel for their failure, so they lured the Weasel to the roof and killed him with shivs. When they were caught, Sal, Billy, and Finn were sentenced to the Electric Chair. They were executed on January 19, 1934. Stanely Ferguson was a security guard who saw the whole thing happen. He ended up retiring in 1942 and later told about the events that had unfolded with this infamous escape attempt.

P09.Lucifer then, for whatever reason, decided to punish the four mobsters by making them relive that last night together.

Alcatraz Island Opening

They tried to escape, with the Weasel this time killing Ferguson. However, Ferguson then reanimated as a zombie. After killing him, they then fought off more zombies until they died. They were the only living people within Alcatraz; everyone else were now zombies. For them, it was always New Year's Eve, 1933. Lucifer had them in a time loop, constantly fighting zombies. When they died, he brought them back, and that happened multiple times. However, Sal, Finn, Billy, and the Weasel were persistent. They built traps around Alcatraz, and they built a ramp for the plane. Every time they died, they forgot everything that happened within the time loop, leaving them with only déjà vu. The Weasel, however, kept a personal journal. Using the journal, he began to think himself crazy with all that was happening in addition to finding his own handwriting in his journal, without him remembering that he wrote it. He attributed such writing to what he called the Editor, and at first he didn't realize that he was the Editor. Eventually, the Weasel realized what was going on, and he used his journal to remember for him.

P010.The mobsters had company. In addition to the zombies, the Beast was present. However, it could not enter the time loop completely, so it just instead stuck each of its three heads through a portal. It just wanted to eat fresh zombie corpses. There was also another entity from Aether named Brutus. He took the form of an extremely armored security guard, and he attacked the mobsters in the form of Lucifer's bidding. Just like the mobsters, Lucifer would resurrect him when he died, sometimes making him cross his own time-stream. Lucifer created many artifacts to create a challenge in the mobsters' survival, such as the Mystery Box, which gave them futuristic weapons, and Power-Ups, which altered the state of things as well. Lucifer also allowed the mobsters a fighting chance of multiple deaths in one life through a ghostly apparition they called the Afterlife, which basically acted as a freebie. After many, many tries, the Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel finally got it right. They began to fight their way through the zombies.

Alcatraz Island Dialogue 1 + 2 + 3 + 4

Then they searched and found the Warden's key. They fed each of the Beast's heads fresh zombie corpses until it was satiated, and in return it gave them a powerful weapon called the H*ll's Retriever.

P011.Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel then set out to find the parts to the plane, which required them to use the Afterlife quite a few times. They found the Tanks at the Dock, the Rigging in the Citadel Tunnels, the Engine in the Warden's Office, the Uniforms in the Showers, and the Control Valves in the Infirmary. They then went to the roof to build the plane. Using some metal found on the roof, they built the frame. They put the uniforms on top of it as cloth to hold the structure together over the Rigging. The Engine and Control Valves were put in place to fly the thing. The Weasel named the creation Icarus. They took off on Icarus, but it didn't fly far enough. They reached the Golden Gate Bridge that was still in construction and crashed right into it. They fell onto the unfinished street, and Icarus fell into the ocean. The mobsters fortunately survived the fall. They fought to survive against the zombies and incarnations of Brutus that were even more numerous there, and they found four Electric Chairs. After exhausting every other means of escape, they forfeited, and they killed themselves on their own terms, by Electric Chair.

P012.When they killed themselves, Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel reappeared back at Alcatraz in the Afterlife before returning to fighting zombies again. For an unknown reason, dying by Electric Chair was an exemption to the memory loss. One of them managed to upgrade the H*ll's Retriever into the H*ll's Redeemer. They also found six skulls throughout Alcatraz that were stuck in the Afterlife, probably due to the Warden's rituals. They retrieved those, which revealed the Warden's Blundergat. They reconstructed the Acid Gat Kit to turn the Blundergat into the Acid Gat, so that they could Pack-A-Punch it into the Vitriolic Withering rather than the Sweeper, which is what it would be without the acid. They also received the Golden Spork, which was a weapon crafted by Lucifer. They tried to fly Icarus again, but they got the same result. They tried it a third time; they still crashed, and each time they did so they had to use the Electric Chairs to return. They then put their prison identification numbers inside the machine within the Citadel Tunnels in Alcatraz in order to elicit a response. Lucifer responded, and he gave them a recording that told them what happened to them that day and beyond.

Lucifer Quote 1

P013.Sal, Billy, Finn, and the Weasel then learned what would happen in their future, and it made Sal, Billy, and Finn doubt whether they could trust the Weasel anymore. Eventually, they tried going into the Afterlife and boarding Icarus while in the Afterlife. They flew Icarus, still crashing into the Golden Gate Bridge. When they arrived, they jumped back into their previously dead bodies in the Electric Chairs. Some incarnations of Brutus then spawned, and Brutus turned traitorous to his master, Lucifer, by telling the zombies to attack only Sal, Billy, and Finn. Neither Brutus nor the zombies were even trying to attack the Weasel. Sal, Billy, and Finn thought the Weasel had pulled something mischievous to get the zombies to side with only him, and a gun fight broke out, with Sal, Billy, and Finn versus the Weasel, Brutus, and the zombies.

Alcatraz Island Dialogue 5

Defending himself, the Weasel managed to kill Sal, Billy, and Finn. It's not exactly known why, but somehow the similarity of the circumstances to how events had taken place before of a fight between them made a pivotal point in the cycle. Sal, Billy, and Finn were supposed to kill the Weasel, but when the Weasel killed Sal, Billy, and Finn, the change broke the cycle, changing the course of history. Brutus had sided with the Weasel to make sure this would happen. The Weasel, free now, was able to safely and simply walk away, escaping the ruin of Alcatraz.

P14.Alcatraz was not closed, however. Plans for reconstruction began, and Alcatraz Island was still used as a prison. One day, a riot broke out. The riot was relatively successful because of the decaying structure of the prison, but then Lucifer decided to intervene. He put the four rioting prisoners and the four prison guards on duty in a time-loop similar to the one he used previously, and he made them fight to survive against zombies with only one team of four surviving.

Lucifer Quote 2

They fought in the Cell Block of Alcatraz against his zombies until only one team survived. It is not known which team survived. In July of 1934, Alcatraz Island was completely reconstructed as a United States federal prison, and all trace of what had happened was removed.

P15.Nikolai Belinski was a politician in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or Soviet Union, and he was notorious for his success that he achieved by killing the next man in line. He also had nine ex-wives. He killed his first wife and then his second wife with shotguns for being fat and ugly. He killed his third wife with a Sickle because she complained about him snoring. He tried to kill his fourth wife by strangling, however, she escaped, and he chased her, killing a couple people, and finally killing her with a shotgun. He killed his fifth wife by trying to drown her and then cutting off her unconscious head with an axe. No one knew what happened to his sixth wife, and his seventh wife was currently still alive. He cheated on his seventh wife, and he also wasn't on good terms with his sister. No one knew what happened to his eighth wife, and his ninth wife was also currently still alive. The leader of the Soviet Union, General Secretary Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin, heard of Nikolai's murderous habits, which made even Stalin fear Nikolai.

Definitely. I wouldn't want to lose this, so I made sure to keep multiple copies of it. But even if I hadn't, I've been posting every paragraph as we come up with them, so most of it is all still here in the replies.

I actually just watched this last night on my PS3. It was in the CoDTV Zombies section, but it was fairly blocky on my TV, so it's nice to see it in a higher quality.

This trailer really makes me think. Does he say any of this in game, or is this just completely new dialogue for the trailer?

Posted

I've never heard them say these things. And I can't imagine what would trigger such dialogue that I hadn't heard before. I think this is exclusive to this. That isn't all surprising; it reminds me of the Shi No Numa and Der Riese trailer dialogue lines, which were exclusive as well.

Fair enough.

What's the general consensus for MotD? I mean did Lucifer really change history to allow Al to survive? Or is it sort of a dream/mind like thing, where they're stuck in limbo for their actions before they can finally move on?

Posted

I think it is changing history, as we can hear recordings from the future that directly contradict what you do in the Side Mission.

I would want to say that what I have here is a general consensus, but the thing is, too few people have given their opinions. And the thing is, majority opinion is across the board. SO many people have no idea what to make of this map. Many people just have different ideas. I have mine of course, which I have previously laid out, incorporating some ideas of others: oM Blitz, FatedTitan, Undead xP, and InfestLithium, and I believe what I have added about Mob of the Dead's story. It still, like everything else in my story, can be challenged. As for whether others agree with me, you'd have to ask them. But I haven't had many "no"'s.

EDIT: The post is back up! I would like to thank the staff MegaAfroMan. :)

Something that I've been noticing that bugs me about the theories around the map in general relate to naming the dimension the map resides in. I've heard Purgatory and Limbo thrown in, but I believe it is fair to say that both are incorrect.

If we use Dante's works The inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, then it must be known that Purgatory is not actually part of Lucifer's Domain. Purgatory is for the faithful who are missing some key aspect towards being accepted into paradise.

Limbo is part of hell, but it is a minor paradise within hell, where those who champion human reason above divine truth reside, assuming they did not commit any other sins. It has no punishment other than the fact that it isn't paradise and they are fully aware of what they are missing out on.

If Lucifer is controlling the events in MotD it is either Hell, or some form of hallucination, or some alternate manifestations of his power on the real world. Not Limbo or Purgatory.

Personally I do believe it is hell, in fact one of the inner circles. I believe that it is an interesting reinterpretation of the circle where thieves are punished.

A rough breakdown of what occurs there is that the sinners are mixed in form, some are human, some are reptile like, and they are constantly changing in a painful manner, stealing each other's bodies. There are also other reptile like demons that occasionally "kill" the sinners, who then burst into ashes and painfully reform on the spot, constantly being reborn, not knowing what is theirs or not.

If you reinterpret that we have our four, shifting between a ghostly form (instead of reptilian) and human form in a painful manner (death or grabbing what appears to be an electric box). Although we cannot steal each others bodies (although I did notice I could actually steal my teammate's body during the revival immediately prior to the pop goes the weasel achievement, I assume that was a glitch). We are being pursued by the undead (instead of demonic reptiles) who occasionally kill us and cause us to be reborn, either immediately in afterlife mode, or by restarting the cycle.

You might ask why they would be in the thieve's circle and not the circle relating to murderers or something else. Well in hell you go to your worst and most common offense, and surprisingly in Dante's description, thievery was further in than violence against one's neighbor.

The only thing I cannot really account for is why the controlling being would want Al to live and therefore break the cycle. If anything, the goal in hell is to continue the cycles of punishment for all eternity in a manner representative of the sins committed.

HOWEVER, now that the OP is back up, I'll read that and see how wrong I am. :D

Interesting post, Mega. I appreciate the input.

I don't know if this is a strictly Christian devil. One may interpret it that way, and I hope to leave it open to such interpretations. Therefore, much of what you said, is quite possible, but hard to prove.

Also, Al mentioned Purgatory specifically, however, he could have simply been mistaken.

In the video I posted above, Billy asks is he being punished for his sins, suggesting a Christian view, although it might be because he lived in a Christian society.

As for letting Al live, that's where I think FatedTitan's Brutus theory comes into play. The controller of the zombies would NOT let Al go. I think everyone can agree on that, yes? So why would he? He WOULDN'T. So someone else must've. We know Brutus can be more than a physical form, as he talks in the Side Mission without being physically present.

Thank you Mega. And lol, but challenges and new insight is always appreciated.

apparently I need to re-do the part on the Editor... so... does this mean I have to credit NGT? O:

Yes you do, despite the fact you dislike the man sheesh. Anyways being punished for one's sins is not strictly a Christian thing and The Inner Rings of Hell actually don't lie in origins with Christianity either their origins lie with the Mayan's.

Chrisitian Hell barely had a description before Dante's works. Could you provide some links for me to read about how Mayan ideology drifted across the ocean and landed in Dante's Inferno? If there is something there I'd like to see it. It could answer some questions I've been having, but you have to understand the skepticism I have towards saying that a relatively short lived civilization in the Americas could have affected Dante's works which were well before anyone in Western Europe even knew that the Americas existed.

Two separate sources can have similar ideas you know, with out one being the origin of the other.

Actually I can do better than that. I watched it on the history channel and learned about how they built some of their underground area's with the 7 layers of hell they had very interesting mind you.

Sorry I haven't contributed to this awesome map & prelude of the greatest story never told. Been so busy, but I have tried to read & keep up to date. There's some great theories unravelling like OmBlitz', FatedTitan's & Infest 3 different connections.

Regarding the religion aspect, the Tower of Babble (story) depicting the "Great Flood" events, affected all mankind which is written (or told) in most religions. This seems to be a way that TreyArch can bring multiple religions & mythology into the story without directly concerning one nor offending one.

This was very well observed by the 3 threads by the people mentioned above.

OmBlitz wrote at the very start of his thread (something like) "considered all religions the same" then talks about Aztec & Mayan Mythology along with the Native American Indian & Hopi Connection.

FatedTitan talks about Purgotory - predomently a Catholic belief.

Infest Lithium talks about Greek mythology.

All 3 of these threads had multiple evidence that can be seen in game. It can all be tied back to "The Great Flood" & the tower of babble.

You can even tie in Die Rise. The Chinese have heaps of history with "The Great Flood"

Sorry, just rambling. This is just an observation & I hope I have interpreted their threads accordingly.

Off topic -

Seems I'm one of the few to reach the character limit.

I wonder how many people know what the post character limit is? It's pretty cool.

115,000!!!

Zelkova, provide some sources or say no more.

Anyhow, it doesn't matter. Like PINNAZ said, I think this is not a specific religion but a truth behind the religions.

Also, PINNAZ, it is but it isn't. 115,000 is the official limit that it tells you, but it would let me put anything above 100,000 once I reach that limit. It wasn't a simple as that, which is why I needed the help of staff.

Anyway, I think Al was an aspiring artist. When he got out, I think he was going to try to be a comic book artist. However, Lucifer used his comic book designs to craft the "purgatory" or whatever you want to call it, as it does share many parallels: zombies, a beast, electricity.

Murder why don't you be patient. I am searching for it actually. Dante's Hell is based off of the Mayan one thank you I am finding many different things on the Mayans Hell and some would provide proof to what I am saying but I am trying to find specifically the one I watched on the History Channel 2 years ago. Its actually what got me into the Mayans all those years ago as the civilization itself was not short lived like you seem to think but existed for a very very long time. As it would turn out the Mayans had 9 layers that is why most of their temples were 9 stories tall or 9 stories down. They had 7 layers that were similar to Dante's with 2 more added in there. The problems with finding you a source is no matter what I provide as a source I know YOU will do what you can to prove it wrong. I mean the Shangri la map seemed so similar to the Mayan architecture that it also fits right there to boot.

Give me time as I am having a friend who is more of a expert in the Mayans find me a good source that you can't argue.

Your animosity is not welcome. And you still do not have a source. And to be honest, this is something so petty, if you even do find a source, it will most likely change nothing, so I wouldn't bother if I were you. I'm not doing any more of this religious crap.

This coming from the person who is calling the voice Lucifer.

I can't view that video currently, but what I want to hear, if you've got it, is some proof that mayan culture influenced Dante's Inferno. I don't care if they were similar even to a frightening degree, that does occur. I just want to know how the ideology could have crossed oceans before any known people were planning voyages to the "new world". That's what I'm not grasping from your claim.

Also, although Mayan is the people, there is a related Mayan religion probably with it's own name, but it could also be referred to simply as "Mayan". As it was probably the major, and possibly the only belief set of that civilization, and mostly exclusive to said civilization.

Although, I do believe that it is mostly unlikely that Treyarch would base things off of any of the more sensitive religions, which throws out Chrisitianity. They seem to prefer older, and more... strange mythos.

I'll find it for you Mega and yes I agree with your last statement that throws out many religions but leaves those such as the Mayans. The Mayan religion also SPECIFICALLY had a part of it that relates to beings in corporeal form as well. The only reason I thought this stuff in some ways could relate to the Mayans is well that for one, dogs were involved in the Mayan mythology, Shangri la reminds me to much of the Mayans, one of the 9 Gods of the Underworld was the God of Death and Decay known sometimes to bring back the dead in his realm to punish sinners. There are some other things but I need to look into it, the internet is rife with a lot of things that are false about the Mayans (no not the calendar just things as simple as way of life) most of these things are out of date or disproven. To be honest Mayans still exist today and they pass down their stories so its best to go to them to get the truths.
