Strange things are afoot in CoTD

I recently played a game of CoTD, And experienced a couple of interesting things. First, The rock that replaces Pack-a-Punch machine near Stammin-up started to glow while completing the solo easter egg.

At first I just thought it was a texture glitch of some sort, But when the PaP eventually spawned here it didn't emit the same glow.

Second, After getting the L96A1 from the box. I noticed something funny about aiming down my sights,

Pretty weird huh? I took full advantage of this "glitch" and did abunch searching around the map while completing the solo easter egg. After messing around for hours and killing george, even tried to sacrifice him the the Vril for the Golden Rod. fail.

After getting the DG-2 and using up all the ammo I decided to PaP my guns and to my suprise...

Now I tried many things during the process of the EE just trying to discover something new, And im not sure what I did but this game was a whole lot different from any other CoTD I've played. The only thing that gets me is that Nothing weird started happening until after i started the EE....

Any thoughts?

WOW. Chrome weapons look so badass. The only other way to get a chrome weapon is to upgrade a wall weapon on Der Riese of course because the chrome camo was used in W@W. They really should have carried it over to Black Ops.

Anyways back on topic. I was playing a solo game on COTD just the other day. Didn't do the EE but strange things happened. George didn't make any fast-runner zombies until round 29, which is unusual as he normally starts doing it when the normal runners come in at round 6. Also I bought my first Quick Revive at round 16. Then on round 43 I went down for the first time, expecting to be revived, but the Game Over screen came up i.e. my QR didn't work :? This one has also happened to me on Ascension on 2 occasions.

I dunno if your strange glitches were EE related or not, definately looks like it though. Too many weird things happen in this game...

Looks like they applied the Gold Camo on but didn't add the colour. Very strange, but it looks awesome!

Wow, cool find. Did you do anything very specific that may have triggered it? It seems like they are all texture glitches as you said, but it is weird that all of these happened in the same game. Do you remember what step you were on when you saw this stuff?

I knew about the Chrome Glitch in multiplayer for a while, but not in Zombies.

I'm also wondering how I missed this thread.

My copy started to do the same thing yours did. Chrome upgraded camo and no sniper overlay. On moon. Then my disk broke and I had to get a new one. It's nothing special.

I got a chrome Afterburner before. And the same thing happened to me with both the L96A1 and the Dragunov. You can't see the scope. I also notice it seems to only happen on solo. I never have this problem in co-op. It's a pain when your trying to kill George with the snipers though.
