Mule kick: More important than we realize?

So at the beginning there were the original 4 perks. As we progressed through the story more were added along the way. But after moon, mule kick was put into every map. Does this mean that someone went back in time to help our heroes, or is it solely for gameplay purposes? Discuss.

Anyhow, I would say that it could be an interesting theory, but lately I have been told that this kind of thing does not need to be over thought, and we should just assume it is for gameplay purposes. However, I personally think it is a possibility, but even if it is, it really does not imply anything new to the story. Still, interesting thoughts Fatal.

but you have to remember the maps have the original 4 in them so they aren't all cannon

You could perhaps try to put in on Richtofen, but then that would mean that he wants the Characters to succeed. So you have to question whether or not he really is as evil as we would think. Then again, helping them helps himself, so who knows?

That could explain why the zombies get stronger! If you are being powered up, why not use that power on the place you got it from?

What if when Sam swtiched with Richtofen? Then she could influence more or something and put Mule Kick in everything to help other people when they pass through the footsteps of our four heroes?

Otherwise than that, I think its solely for game purposes
