hey guys i was just thinking about the best setup YOU can have on each map (solo or co-op)

what do you guys think? critiscism welcome...this is for round 30+ because under round 20 you can kill with pretty much any gun

Not a bad choice you got there ;)

Now the Freeze Gun is pretty useless imho in 30+, the Raid (isn't that the Stakeout upgraded?) is crap and the VR is, well, it's the VR. So much bullshit, and so much needed for 40+ coop. Now of course you also would like to have the infinite damage guns, such as the Thunder in Kino. Get an extra zombie wave with the QED in 50 while you are out of ammo, and you won't like it anymore.

For me it's just that my favorite set up is absolutely dependent of the circumstances. When I get gun X out of the box, I might get perk Y, but only before Round Z. So it is so much variable, that a list like that makes no sense overall. Not to forget is the general preferences of people. Some might be awesome with the Wunderwaffe, others might fail like hell with it.

So overall, it doesn't make much sense to try to find an ultimate setup. It is too much dependent of the situation. Of course you could develop an awesome setup - but as soon as a unique gun is in there (a gun that only one player can have), it fails. E.g., I'd like to have a Life Saver gun, a killing gun, and a point gun. The life saver can be the thunder, it can be the crossbow, or it can be the M&S. But I might have a M&S already, and get the bow off the box. So I'm double life saving now, can use the M&S as a killing gun, so the third gun might now completely chance its role. I also do not need Gershes anymore, since I have the bow, now I want rather dolls. It is so much dependent of situations and circumstances.

But it is for sure a nice general setup you posted here. I know, I was pretty hard with you now ;) I wouldn't have written that, when you wouldn't have asked for criticism. Overall, any guy going with these guns you proposed hasn't done a bad choice.

By the way, I'm very happy you posted this in the Gameplay section ;) Happy that it takes roots by time! Good job!

I always used to go for LMGs, but I've sort of figured that you may as well stick with wall guns just until you can get some power weapons so you can just horde, kill and repeat, you still make a nice point-cushion to recover with anyways.

Here's my choice of weapons and perks for solo, pretty much the same for co-op:

Nacht: Thundergun, Ray Gun, Thompson

Verruckt: Winter's Howl, Ray Gun; get rid of the Winter's for Thompson at 30+ to start using traps - Jugg, QR, DT, SPeed

Shi No Numa: Wunderwaffe, Ray Gun; trade Ray for Thompson at 30+ for traps - Jugg, QR, Speed, DT

Der Riese: Wunderwaffe, Ray Gun, Thompson - Jugg, QR, Mule, DT

Kino: Thundergun, Ray Gun - Jugg, DT, QR, Speed

FIVE: Mustang & Sally, Awful Lawton (or Winter's up until about 30 if I get it), Ray Gun - Jugg, Speed, QR, Mule

Ascension: Thundergun, Mustang & Sally (or one of those + Ray Gun for co-op), Gersch Devices - Jugg, QR, Staminup, PhD

COTD: M&S, Scavenger, VR-11 for 1-2 players or Ray Gun for 3-4 - Jugg, QR, PhD, Mule

I usually always get Mule Kick and M&S unless I'm going for a really high solo round. Then I usually take the Ray Gun and either the map's wonder weapon or if someone else gets it first either something like an AUG, Commando or Galil or the Awful Lawton. I don't really like the LMGs as they slow me down more than i'm comfortable with. If PHD is not available I usually prefer to get Awful Lawton, although sometimes I will still get M&S.

Kino: Awful Lawton, Thundergun, Ray gun, Monkeys.

Five: Awful Lawton, Winter's Howl, Ray Gun, Monkeys.

Ascension: Thundergun, Ray Gun, M&S, Gerschs.

COTD: Scavenger (Or VR-11 if not available), Ray Gun, M&S, Dolls.

Shangri-La: M&S, 3179 JGb-215, Ray Gun.

Moon: Zap/Wave Gun(s), Ray Gun, M&S.

So those are my ideal setups, like I said if the wonder weapon is not available then I will usually get an Assault Rifle or wall gun. On the classic maps the setups are the same exept on NDU, Verruckt and Shi No I do not buy Mule Kick and instead just take whatever from the box, and the WW if available. On Der Riese I like to have M&S/AwfulLawton, Ray Gun and the DG-2 or Thompson.

The reason for no thundergun on kino and ascension is because when I play i usually let my teamate get it.

I use the raid because i rape train by PaP and its good for points even non upgraded but yeah..thats personal preference :)

Bah, it isn't the best of guns to use for a train. It's penetration is too low, and you're not gonna get anything in the later rounds. If you want a real zombie killer, stick with the AK and go for headshots. You can also grab the Commando and Galil because they whip ass as well.

Yep, Moon's one of those mistake-prone maps; you go down and you're not getting it back cheap. It's one of those maps where Juggernog is a PITA to get, so you're going to go down a bit.

I dont need crossbow on kino i stay in alley all game and not too toot my own horn but i know how to play it SO well its not even gunny

If you go down in moon it still stays hacked...and if you die then you shouldve made so much for only 600 for upgraded ammo you should be able to PaP it right away

I usually have galil as 3rd weapon on ascension

It wouldnt be smart to use crossbow on nacht verruckt and shino ;) (joking)

I know i just like to throw QEDS if i get them I KNOW gershes are better

I run the stage, not a full-mapper, so any other wall weapon is basically useless. From 20-39ish I'll usually have the M16, but then I'll switch it out for the Lawton as a point making gun is no longer needed.

Five-

Guns- MP5k/Raid, M&S, Winter's Howl/ Awful Lawton

Perks- Mule Kick, Jug, QR, Speed

Agreed. While I do believe at least one person needs Gersch Devices on any team, if someone else already has them, why not have a little fun with QEDs?

Yeah, you can love or hate the QED. But the super awesome effects are so rare, that you can basically neglect them. The most common 'good' effect is that it does an astro wave. But that is what a Gersh always does, it takes out a mass of zombies.

So I recommend the Gersh always.

Of course, before Round 30 you can mess around a bit and hope for your free perk or for your free gun upgrade, so

I leave the 4th perk till at least round 20 and then if I get the Waffe I will take Mule Kick (M&S, Waffe, Various wall weapons).
