Hopefully you can see the circles in the map, we already know Los Angeles but I believe here is the others.

Alaska, The Middle East, and Western Europe seem like likely locations for a 2Xst century cold war, but Japan? I could understand it, the Russians and Japanese have never really seen eye to eye nor have the Chinese, but it just sounds out of place.

UK,LA,Alaska -> somewhere at Cold Bay,Araby,Japan

Yeah seems like so. Though "Araby" is near Iran/Persian Gulf.
