I think many of us have already reached this obvious conclusion, but there are some that still question it. I think this pretty much confirms it. They went to Ascension, then to temporarily stuck in the closet at CotD, then to Shangri La, and finally to Moon.

The Focusing Stone is a highly concentrated source of Element 115.

The Focusing Stone is a highly concentrated 115 meteor. When shrunken, it expels tremendous amounts of energy from 115/Vril, thus giving it it's anti-gravity and permanent perks characteristics.

The Voices of the Vril-ya.

It's a bit odd that all these quotes speak of voices in Shangri La's tunnels. It's been said the voices of the Vril-ya when heard from a distance sounds almost like a hum of a song. In the book "The Coming Race", it also mentions that music is played hourly in the Vril-ya civilizations, and is used as a way of keeping time.

Dr. Maxis invented the Shrink Ray.

Richtofen: “I knew Maxis was working on such a device, but I had no idea he was successful.” –wpck_shrink_4

This leads to the question of how exactly it got there, and it could possibly mean Maxis has been to Shangri La before. It's known that he travels to a "wretched tunnel" after being betrayed and teleported by Richtofen. Perhaps he travels to Shangri La (much like Richtofen did), and that's how Maxis knows of the place and how the Shrink Ray ended up there.

The Richtofen Statue.

Richtofen: “That statue is so hot!” – quest_step8_10

Seems a statue was orginally planned for Shangri La as well. They ultimately nerfed the idea, and went with a much simpler shrine.

The Monkeys Return the Powerups to Sam.

Richtofen: “Keep it away from Sam, Nikolai!” – hr_resp_monkey_2

Sounds like the monkeys are retrieving the powerups for Sam. After they steal your perk, they return to Griffin Station via the rocket and return it to Sam. There's some other interesting quotes as well...

Maxis is in the Aether.

If you caught my analysis of the Moon quotes, you would know that Maxis is indeed dead and caught in the Aether. He was most likely killed the day at Griffin Station after Sam to kill them all.

Time Elapsed since Nikolai's capture?

This could possibly hint at how long Richtofen has been with the gang thoughout their crazy adventure. And it's probably why Nikolai smells so bad.

Fantastic post man, there are many things we can conclude via the quotes. I particularly like the one, "The power of time is incapable of being controlled by humans." To me, that one is kind of like a hint to them Time Travelling perhaps between Call of the Dead and Shangri-La. Who knows, but it does show, to me, that Richtofen has no definite control over the time periods they arrive in.

EDIT: Another quote that interests me, that you sadly don't have is this:

"Hello? We are here. Now to make it to the switch to start the fun." - start_4

It's odd because he says that first part as if he is expecting someone to meet him or greet him there, perhaps the Vril-ya? If that is true and all the Vril-ya are dead like many have assumed, that could mean he wasn't the one who slaughtered them all.

It's a bit odd that all these quotes speak of voices in Shangri La's tunnels. It's been said the voices of the Vril-ya when heard from a distance sounds almost like a hum of a song. In the book "The Coming Race", it also mentions that music is played hourly in the Vril-ya civilizations, and is used as a way of keeping time.

Here, you mention the singing in Shangri-La, however I can say that they are not the Vril-ya. I am listening to the CoD XP Zombies Panel and it was asked about the nursery rhyme that can be heard in Shangri-La, and they say that it is Samantha's Lullaby and they drop into a few maps every once in a while with the intention of being eerie. They say it has no major significance, other than that.

Thanks for checking that out for me Tac! It always bugged me not knowing if it was suppose to be some hidden message or just jibberish there for effect. Turns out it was the latter.
