Wasn't there also something in the terminal about Mason having some issues with his father after the events of Black Ops? Or was that his mother? I just remember there being a letter from a family member of his talking about how lost he was at that time.

Mabye he served with Reznov!
Chernov Mason? Good luck with that. They just wanted to say he had a military background, and the most logical war for his dad to be in was WWII. Mason didn't know of Reznov 'till Vorkuta.

Well again, it was just a theory and i don't have anything to back it up accept that he was in WW2.
