I was on PSN store and went to download the Black Ops 2 trailer, as i was downloading it I was looking at the file name and it had "EclipseReveal" in it.

I'm not sure if this means anything, it may have nothing to do with zombies but it must be there for a reason, I'll try and get a screenshot of it.

Thoughts?

Well eclipses have always had a rather significant role on zombies, so I'm guessing it would be their official zombie debut for BO II. Why it would be in the file name for the trailer though is beyond me.

Being a fellow PS3 player, I think I'm going to check this out as well.

The initial gamestop leaks were codenamed eclipse, there's files on the CoD site named eclipse and an image of the multiplayer lobby revealed today showed a gamertag called "Eclipsetest1".

I'm pretty sure it's just the internal codename for Black Ops II

Thanks!!! [brains] It never occurred to me that this was the codename. :D

I also feel quite silly because I looked at the multiplayer lobby screenshot before posting this.

Wasn't BO II's codename Ironwolf though?

No, that was a separate Treyarch game that many believed to be Black Ops 2.

Thats amazing. Standing in line at the midnight release when the sun is BLACK. Maybe they did that on purpose to represent 'the future is black'?

midnight release

sun

I think you might have the wrong impression of midnight. Also the eclipse happens over the pacific ocean-ish area. Nobody in europe/north america will ever see it.

Edit: unless they go out of their way to watch THIS specific eclipse.

I read my own post and the smart-alec in me found the potential for others to capitalize.
