If you saw the E3 campaign footage at E3 you don't throw grenades anymore you use a arm mounted grenade launcher. My question is how would it be possible to cook grenades?

Umm... link to some footage? I never saw that... anyways, to answer your question, there are many types of "launch-able", for lack of a better term, grenades, including timed.

Yeah, I thought that was a grenade launcher, not a physical hand grenade?

Surely a fancy gaget like that can cook 'nades. I'm betting you'll still just hold down the button to cook it, then release to throw/launch it.

It is the new way to launch grenades. As his arm tubey launchy thingy fired nades, the regular grenade counter went down. I imagine that the longer you hold it down, the more it cooks. Or we're not using regular frags anymore, we're using some other more futuristic variation of grenades. Who knows.
