Will there be future weapons?

I've been thinking, the time-line of the zombie story is set around or before 2012. With the nuke hitting earth, wouldn't it make sense the weapons we have now stay for the next game. It would be disapointing to see the same weapons over again, but it wouldn't mess up the zombie lore in any way. Now this is just a theroy I concluded from my head, if theres proof to back up that theres future weapons could you please post it?

I think it should work like it did in World at War. Keep all the Wall Weapons on the old maps but have new Box weapons.

However, I would MUCH PREFER the option of having ALL WAW weapons, ALL BO weapons, and ALL BO2 weapons in the Box. I would love the variety, and I am going to miss any weapons that do not show.

But as for this thread, the game is set a lot in 2025. So why not have a futuristic weapon? That'd be awesome. I'm not talking Wonder Weapons or the latest gadgetry in weapons. I mean weapons that actually do not currently exist; regular weapons, like machine guns or something. It'd be cool. Of course, don't make ALL the weapons like that; just a select few.
