I thought this was an amazing little nod at this site's creator. I didn't see any threads about it, and I was certainly surprised when I stumbled on it haha!

Lol that's not a nod to Crab, it's just a camo based on Carbon fiber...

And they could've easily chosen any other mineral or past camo's instead of this one. You're right on what it's based on, but I think it's still a nod at the same time. I mean he works for 3arc, they love to put little stuff about the developers and such in game (JD in Der Riese, Belinski based off Zelinski) so it's easily possible this is another one of those things.

those people are major names in the company, Carbon is a tiny tiny fish in a very very large pond. Carbon fiber just looks badass lol.
