Lol I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not? Based on his quotes, it honestly sounds to me like he was just generally annoying and because of that and his intelligence level, he was banished.

I don't believe that they locked him in. Since they asked him to leave, it seems like he went willingly and ended up there for another reason.
