When does Green Run take place?

Theres no way Moon occured in the 60's, due to the fact that Call of the Dead took place in 2011. Hm, but then again the Origianal 4 were jumping all over the place timewise... and we are following their story. I don't know if I have any right to rant, but bear with me while I throw some ideas out there. When watching movies about time travel, the protaganist(s) can jump between future and past, and consequences are not shown until later. So it is possible the O4 did go to 2011 and then back to the 60's. I say this because the technology in Green Run is very dated as well as the vehicles, so it would be very strange if it took place in modern times. This brings me to my question: when the uncovered tv transmissions are played, Maxis states that he has been looking for survivors for decades. Could it be that the US has been in the conditions shown in Green Run (as if it was hit recently) for so long that it truly is modern or even near future times (hence the 2025 weapons)? But if humanity has been living in such conditions there could not have been any technology advancements. Could it be that all the time travelling the O4 did, there could have been a dimensional tear, and the box could be the link between these multiple dimensions? Hm, maybe I'm overthinking it, but I would love to hear what you guys think.

+1. Tac's thread is the best source for anyone looking to understand the dates of the maps a bit more.

The CotD paradox can be explained quite simply. Following the events of our time travelers, (and not a historical timeline), CotD in 2011 came before the events of Moon and the bombing of Earth in the 1960s. Therefore it wouldn't have been destroyed yet. See what I'm saying?

While us theory guys do like to have a historical date tied to each map, it's important we follow the timeline of our time travelers when it comes to sequence of events.

Just adding my little input. A day ago (Dic. 11th) Rez Elghazi, a producer in zombies posted a number "twelve to the third power". I started looking into it and it gives p the number 1728 (12x12x12). Now, of the list of things that have to do with the number, there is a place that was founded on Greenland in that date called Nuuk (nice name BTW)originally named Godt-Haab. The layout of the city ressembles that of Tranzit, with the church and all. It's just my opinion, based on that tweet, but maybe it does have to do with it (I'm fully aware that the the logo for Green Run on the map is located above the U.S.). See if you can look into it, because there surely is something behind Rez's tweet.

There is one quote that Maxis has that we've yet to hear in the Game. During the Qoute Maxis say's "-I've been Searching for Decades."

There there is one other, which I think was to be the exact thing Maxis said when you complete the final step to his side of the EE. He said. "-Which has begun so long ago."

Granted these have yet to be hear or were possibly cut from the game, but they do give us a good idea to what the year could be. But you can also look at the Previous games. WaW Zombies-1945, Black Ops(Except for Call of the Dead) 1968-69. Black Ops 2-2025.

So it kinda fits.

Jeager that may fit, however what doesn't fit is the fact that on the first(?) powerup you pick up Ric says he is getting used the Aether, if this is decades ahead wouldn't he be used to it by now?

I mean I'm pretty sure even for a place like the Aether, it wouldn't take decades to get used to.

I have my own theory and ideas lots of people have said that green run takes place in the late 1980's and early 90's the problem i see with this is that rictofhens first quote right of the is that he is still just getting used to the Ather which would put green run after nuketown / Moon events there are lots of quotes that conflict with eachother so its abit all over the place .

From what i see there are some things that will always conflicting quotes and from what i believe its that green run takes place after moon / nuketown era even though maxis say decades that can mean from 10 years or anything up to 90 years so its abit of how you interprete the game

I know, I actually got it because the map looks fun (and has some easter egg-related things in it),but I continued searching and there's nothing about that number that relates to Nuketown zombies, and the overview of the city and it's church kinda look like the one's in Tranzit (although I could be just looking for signs like crazy). Call it a hunch, I actually tweeted Rez about it, let's see if he responds anything.
