Perma Perks = Persistent Upgrades

Hi

According to the patch notes on PC, what we call perma perks is actually called persistent upgrades.

Now, since this looks official and stuff, I consider persistent upgrades as persistent. I'm struggling with that word though. How do you guys use it? Does "persistent" say, that the upgrades are forever? Or does the word still hold the option of losing the upgrades?

Now we know, we can loose upgrades any time. So why do they say persistent if they are temporary? I mean, I earn my headshot thing in round 4. But I knife in 4. So I knife, get no headshots, and after 25 kills the perk is gone again. Or I stick to the team in the beginning, get my revive, in the 20ties I go to my own spot, run there, revive none, loosing it. So what is persistent of these perks?
