What's With the Pack-A-Punch Machine?

I'm wondering why the Pack-A-Punch machine doesn't do the same to guns anymore. Instead of the blue/purple computer-chip pattern, it's just like the guns were placed in some fire. And that's not all, most/all guns are cracked..

I found this interesting, just wanted to post.

Well the design was different in WaW and BO. Makes sense for it to be different in BOII.

I just think treyarch updated the PaP for BO2. Changing the sorta of colours and prettying things up

This.

Also, it seems to me that the pattern was kind of affiliated with the gameplay itself. For instance, BO's PaP pattern was a computer processor chip design. What is felt like it meant was as the crew continued on into the space-age era (obvious w/ Cold War), weapons have become more versatile and massively destructive. The pattern symbolized the improvement in said weapons and technology.

The pattern in BO:II looks...well, destroyed. Every time I'm looking down at my PaP'ed Galil, I see what looks like cracks in it. Reminds me of the ground where there's lava cracks and melted texture. Personally, I see it as an apocalyptic look to the weapons where mankind is pretty much obliterated.
