Crazy turbine at Depot..

So was playing a quick random game. Build a turbine, went to pop it in the corner that opens both doors (there was some one sitting there randomly).. And whoa.. Turbine FLIES across the depot and lands on top of the ledge.. I couldn't pick up another, so I tossed a grenade and it exploded so I could get another.. Just a glitch?

I'll give it a shot when some friends are on, these were randoms. It must have something to do with a player blocking where I tried to drop it. If repeatable, it almost looks like that hole in the roof would be accessible :)

You're not going crazy, friendo - I've had the same thing happen to me. Not exactly in the depot, I should say. Rather, I set it down near the barn in Farm and it shot across the sky towards what seemed like Town.

Never saw it again. :(

^ lol, guess that turbine blade is a distant cousin to a helicopter.

It's a glitch.

You can replicate it by placing one on a players head when they're prone.

It most likeley happens when it interacts with an uneven surface, like the claymores in MW2.

Yea, theres been a few times I've put one down and it popped up in the air and just floated there. Prolly the same type of glitch that makes dead zombies twitch and move.

Old glitch down to the dated engine at use where the turbine would take a path of it's own and fail to stay where it was intended.

 

Unfortunately, a glitch that still exists to this day, though thankfully rarely.
