problem with easter egg...help!

Okay I started tonight first attempt at the eggs I did maxis in like 20 mins seemed super easy. I tried richtofens built the jet gun and tried to heat the obelisk aimed at the tsble, the rock, up at middle of tower multiple times with other teamates trying. It never " heated up" richtofen never talked untiljet gun blew up and we picked pieces back up. Did I miss something Iwatched the videos read the threads. Im pretty irritated sry for grammar I'm on my phone.

No everyone was in the game from beginning nobody quit or joined

Was it with four people? if yes only samuel can hear richtofen. If it was with two people, again, one of you need to be samuel.
