I was wondering could you do the parts that require four people usually with two people? Like when throwing EMPs at the lamps, which you can do on Co-Op by teleporting then doing it again. Can you do the two-player way if you have four people in the game? Or does it have to be two people in it to do it.

Yes.. Four players can be there, even if only two are actively doing the egg.. That's how I did Richtofens.. We both EMP'd the teleporter, jumped in, EMP'd it again.. Done.

Yeah the same way we did it. Otherwise it would be too hard if each player had to get emp grenades.
