Effective ways to use the electric trap and sentry turret?

Now that the infinite turbine/trap/turret glitch has been patched, I see pretty much no reason to set up the electric trap and the sentry turret. Does anyone has any techniques for using them? For me, they always break after one use.

This is one great method to utilize. You could even use the edge of the top floor buildings in Town. Use the electric trap near the one pillar (box for bar, debris for apartment) and the sentry turret close to the edges. Have a turbine placed somewhere against the walls, a voila - a recipe for safe coverage. I'd advise to place the electric trap on one of the two pathways from the middle debris so you have one opening to come through. After that, you only need to focus straight down really.

Isn't the window at the end of pap a problem for the turret?? If I try that, later or earlier I miss a zombie coming out that window and he then destroys the turret.

What platforms did get patched?

For me, those 2 buildables are garbage. I see no advantage. I'm really hoping by "wonder weapons" in die rise that it isn't just a few new shitty buildables. Hopefully it's something worth building or obtaining this time.
