Nacht der Untoten possibly in Japan?

Recommended Posts

Verruckt is in Berlin, Germany (based off of WaW Asylum MP Map)

Der Riese is near Bresleau, Germany (built using assets from WaW Nightfire MP Map)

Shi No Numa is in China, (now modern day Japan) (built using assets from WaW Knee Deep MP map)

WHAT IF... Nacht is actually in Japan? (based on assets found and used in WaW MP map Airfield)

Now I Am All But Sure The Nacht Building In Green Run Is Just Identical Compared To What We Actually Saw In Nacht der Untoten

The Nazis and the Imperial Japanese Army were both Axis powers...

Maybe the Japanese had taken American POWs after the plane crash, the POWs escaped to the building in Nacht, and while in hiding, the 2nd outbreak occured and in turn created Zombies out of both the Japanese and the visiting Nazis, and the Nazi zombies converged on the building, and the Japanese zombies converged on Shi No Numa...

Thoughts?

I thought it may be the Black Ops 2 map Aftermath.

But I never played much WaW.

You're a cheeky one aren't you? (Using what Mr. Titan posted against me in your signature, no matter, I have no such time for useless babble)

Aftermath takes place in Los Angeles, CA. I highly doubt that's where it would be.

BUT. Thank you for your reply.

No problem! Just saw some torn down skyscrapers and thought about it.

Perhaps Aftermath is a possible setting for a future Zombies excursion, hoepfully so. I love that map in MP.

I haven't played much multiplayer, so I don't know the good maps. But I would like to see a Hijacked map.

But I'm getting off topic. :oops:

I think it could be.. are there skyscrapers in Japan?

I always believed that you are playing as the same group of marines that are present in Veruckt (WaW version, the group led by Dempsey). They flew in but were shot down and crashed just near Nacht. They then pushed on to the Beruckt asylum where all except Dempsey were killed trying to find Peter McCain. The reason they are speechless in Nacht is because, in my opinion anyway, they are so shcoked (sounds kinda cheesy, I know but it's a fairly decent thought).

Well, if it's for storyline purposes, just something somebody created to add to the storyline, that's fine. The real reason for NDU is it was just a mini-game Treyarch thought would be cool. It did well, so they added Veruckt, it had a few EE's in it. It did so good, they eventually just made it a game mode.

I know that, and that's what I meant as in storyline purpose. But, seeing as Veruckt is in Germany I highly doubt Dempsey and his marines walked to Japan.

I don't think Nacht der Untoten is in Japan. I mean, it has Nazi Zombies. There could be an explanation around that. But there could be an explanation around anything. It is why in court you must dismiss "reasonable doubt".

Each map in Zombies was based off of something. It is just design really. Nothing more.

Nacht der Untaten = Airfield

Verruckt = Asylum

Shi No Numa = Makin

Der Riese = Nightfire

Kino der Toten = Downfall

"Five" = Pentagon

Ascension = Launch

Call of the Dead = Discovery

Shangri-La = Jungle

Moon = Hangar 18

Nuketown = Nuketown

Green Run = Black Ops in general

well, why are they in Nazi uniforms, not the whole Shi No Numa getup?

If you had read my post thoroughly, you would have seen where I stated in my theory that the Nazis were VISITING the Japanese. But judging from your post count, I am not surprised that you over looked it. Shite.

Exactly man. And Airfield is a map that takes place in Japan... That's why I stated that

You missed my point entirely. Zombie levels are not based off of a map for ANYTHING they have to do story-wise but primarily just because of the assets they have. In fact, Nacht was literally put in a section of Airfield so they didn't have to make a whole new location but just edit an existing one. And for the longest time no one noticed.

Ahhhh. Okay then. Forgive me then, I'm a little loopy from my medications.

That makes more sense.

Well, hasn't it been since about Shi No that they started making unique zombie maps (as in weren't based almost entirely off multiplayer maps, but may have had some similar aspects)?

I can see the train of thaught here, but for me the connections just arent real enough to try and say that nacht is in japan. the fact that its called nazi zombies and the title is german tells me that its in germany. the original map or protoype was just a mini game. they had no intentions of expanding on it at the time. this has been said many times by developers.

IF ANYTHING from nacht der untoten ties into the actual story mode, i think that it makes sense that they replacated the building and general environment to try and work nacht into some sort of story line.

But i dont see how the original had any story ties at all.

Well zombo, my theory that the four silent marines in Nacht are the same marines from Veruckt gives some linkage to the story line. If the four survivors plane crashed outside Nacht, it may have attracted the attention from nearby zombies in Veruckt who came charging down and found the survivors. The four marines defeated them and made their way to Veruckt, led by Dempsey. This way, Nacht at least links to the story.

I feel what your saying but thats not quite what I was getting at. I was just trying to say that the original map didnt have any characters or story besides a plane crash. Verrukt was the jumping off of the series and DID have a story, but the characters were silent, and I believe you did well to explain away how this all makes sense.

I was referring to the actual story line that is in effect now. I think they wanted to tie everything back together in some way so they built another NDU in Green Run to make sure that everything gels together smoothly for what story they have in mind now.

The map Nacht Der Untoten is in Germany. Not in Japan. My proof is this. The description given to us when you select the map is this: "You drove them deep into the heart of the Reich. You thought they were dead. You were wrong." What is the "Reich" you ask? Well allow me to enlighten you. The term "reich" derives from the German word meaning realm, kingdom, or empire. Reich is usually used in German to designate a kingdom or an empire. Reich is one of the three major German empires that existed. These empires were as follows:

the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, which lasted from the coronation of Otto I as a Holy Roman Emperor in 962 to 1806, when it was dissolved during the Napoleonic Wars

the German Empire, which lasted from the unification of Germany in 1871 to its collapse after World War I, during the German Revolution of 1918–1919

the National Socialist state commonly known as the Third Reich or Nazi Germany, which lasted from the Machtergreifung in 1933 to the End of World War II in Europe in 1945

(Taken from Wikipedia)

Now Nacht Der Untoten is located deep in the German reich or empire. Therefore it is in Germany!

I'm pretty sure that Nacht is in green run....if you look back at the original map(not the one in tranzit) tand look out the window far left of where you spawn you can see the Tower (Pylon),then years later we have our green run group with corn fields planted since it is so far into the future. I'm not entirley sure though

Then how do you explain the hill with the crashed plane outside of the original Nacht Der Untoten. Sorry buddy but Nacht takes place in Germany. No where else.

I have never played WaW but I could've sworn every time you play a zombie map like in the bottom left or right corner they tell you the year, and place.
