Hm, it is interesting to say the least. The zombie is not attempting to attack the player, so I don't think there's any God-status conspiracy here. It looks like he/she/it knifed the zombie and failed, thus the zombie swearing allegiance to the player.

Maybe it has to do with the golden plate he landed on? It seems too delayed for the knife to be the cause.

I don't know about the zombie's actions (maybe a glitch), but isn't the flash from not killing anyone during an insta-kill drop? The next insta-kill round will let him kill on contact.

That's my thoughts... the non-attacking zombie is probably a glitch, and the green flash was from attaining insta-overkill. The flash occurs the instant insta-kill expires. Though this would actually be kinda awesome if it were a presista-perk. Would be quite useful for running around the map with one zombie left but not having it attack you.

Edit; just realized the guy was playing as Samuel. Probably just a coincidence and I'm still thinking glitch... but it is interesting since Samuel seems to have some connections to the undead in some way.

Exactly, that would be cool, to have certain bonuses usable by certain characters. It looks interesting, but it's a new map, so unfortunately it is probably a glitch.
