A Legitimate suggestion for a character addition in Zombies

I just had a quick suggestion for the Zombie storyline. BE warned, this is a conglomeration of a couple of posts I made on the official COD forums, they are old. Sorry for any confusion! I really hope this is the section that Treyarch reads for suggestions :D

I was wondering if thet could add a new playable character to the zombie storyline. The whole Nazi Occultist aspect of the story has a whole “Indiana Jones” feel to it and I was wondering if you could add an archeologist/historian character to the story. BUT, this is not simply for fan boy purposes, I have legitimates reasons:

1. It’s a perfect homage- The entire zombie storyline revolves around Nazi Occultism and Occultism in general: The Black Sun, the Vril energy, Shangri’la, and the Illuminati. Many of these Occult topics connect to ancient history and places of myth and legend. Every Indiana Jones movies connects to some relic of ancient history of untold and or occult power trying to get into the hands of the Nazis, Soviets, and etc. The movies follow the same basic plot formula of Zombies (more or less). The Indiana Jones series is WHY we have Tomb Raider and Uncharted (Fun Fact, Nolan North, the voice of Richtofen, voices Nathan Drake!). This series is the progenitor of all this Nazi stuff.

2. Brock and Gary’s story isn’t finished- Brock and Gary were some type of archeologists or explorers who seemed to have a very important role in the story. But, their adventure into Agartha was left in a time loop. It just seemed weird to me that they were loosely connected to the zombie storyline. They were on their own adventure not related to the Zombie journey. You just helped Brock and Gary get to where they need to be and after a long EE they get stuck in a time loop. Brock was the first character to actually mention Agartha and he had an interesting backstory. I find it weird to drop these two characters (well, at least it seems).

3. No other Character bridge the gap between the occult and zombies- Richtofen and Marlton deal with the sciencey and experimental side of the story. Samuel and Richtofen are mere tools to the occult force. Nikolai, Takeo, Dempsy, and possibly Russman are all soldiers caught in the cross fire. Misty, as far as, I know is a civilian who, has some connection to Green Run.

Unless further information is revealed, every character doesn't know the entire story. It is as if they are "beating around the bush" and not fully aware of the deeper force at work.

Again, Brock and Gary were the only two guys ever in the story to reach the "fan level" and hit on topics that revealed the occult side of the story.

4.He picks up Richtofen's mantle (If he sides with Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo)- Even though Samantha is in Richtofen's body, I don't think we will play as her again ( I could be completely wrong). To me, the body switching seems more of a onetime event and unique feature for one map. Samantha leaves a sort of gap within the team. Without Richtofen, the 3 other characters do not have any direction nor, a leader. He would become their leader. This character could promise Samantha that he will take her place until he gets her body back meanwhile, she could stay at the Moon or preferably somewhere safe. With the addition of this character's connection to Agartha, the remaining crew’s vengeance towards Richtofen, and Samantha’s desire for her body, our beloved characters have a reason to be relevant to the current story.

Long story short, could we continue the story via some archeologist/historian character related to Brock and Gary. He could help solve the occult mysteries of the story and figure out the otherworldly force behind this all.

To Further my argument and my point, Treyarch has referenced Indiana Jones on numerous occasions.

1. Nacht der Untoten black ops loading screen-

The top right image is a reference to the end of the first movie where the Ark of the Covenant was stored.

The connection- in the 1st movie the Nazis were trying to seek the power of the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark was a physical representation of God’s covenant with man and is an important artifact in Judeo-Christian belief. At the end of the movie, the U.S. government gets ahold of the Ark ( out of the hands of the Nazis) and stores it in place where all mysterious, all powerful, and experimental things go- an Area 51 type storage facility.

In Zombies it would make sense that this now captured Nazi and Soviet technology is stored in a US facility like this.

2. Nuketown-]Although I am not a fan of the 4th movie and I know “Nuke Towns” were actual places during the Cold War, this map is a reference to the series nonetheless.

Before you watch the clip, escaping a nuclear blast in a fridge is not possible (The more you know!). This scene was one of the many reasons people didn’t like the 4th movie. Anyway back to Cod.

3. Unused map name, possibly even a Zombie Map

http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Temple_of_Doom

According to CODwiki-

“Temple of Doom is a cut map from Call of Duty: Black Ops found in the game files when Escalation is downloaded. It may have been replaced with Shangri-La, the Zombie map in the Annihilation map pack.

Temple of Doom is a reference to an Indiana Jones movie of the same name”.

If this is real, see the connection? Ancient temples and the Occult. ALSO, one of the original plots for this Indy movie was meant to involve zombies.

4. Shangri-la- At the end of the Easter Egg a crystal skull can be seen on the altar.

Now lets dive into the Indy Universe. Indy seems to be right on par with what is going on in zombies. I think a character like him could handle himself in the Zombie series.

Apparently these books are considered cannon to the Indiana Jones series. This is where things get interesting.

1. Zombies- Indy has tackled Zombies on a few of his adventures and some of them were Nazis!

http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Zombie

"Four years later, Doctor Matthias Jäger resurrected Nazi soldiers with the Philosopher's Stone but was unable to wield the artifact and he and the zombies were disintegrated".

Notice the connection to an all powerful occult relic used to bolster the Nazi's power.

2. Indiana Jones and the Hollow Earth

Before you read the quote, be prepared for Indy's very cliche "side kick".

Here is the excerpt from the novel's summary. Notice some interesting overlaps.

"A violent storm, a dying Arctic explorer, and a curious wooden box make Indy the target of fanatical Nazi agents. Inside the box are a slice of Icelandic stone with mythological powers and a journal hinting at the existence of an underground civilization near the top of the world. Indy and Ulla Tornaes, a beautiful Danish scientist, set out into the Arctic wastes, racing against Nazi explorers, to search for the lost city. Their quest will lead them to a massive cavern beneath the snow, portal to the legendary Ultima Thule—the key to Hitler's mad plan for world domination"

Long story short, I feel integrating an Indiana Jones character would really further the series and help further the plot. He could be the "fifth portrait" in Kino and could assist Dempsy, Nik, and Tak, on their journey to Richtofen.

Now my questions to you.

Do you think a character like this is needed? DO you feel Brock and Gary play an important role in the story? Would you like to see a descendant of one of them try to pick up the mantle and solve the mystery? DO you agree with my assumption that all of the other characters seem to be unaware of the true reason for the zombies and the MDT? Do you feel my reasoning for this addition is sound or do you feel the characters in the story can handle this aspect on their own?

I hoped you enjoyed my post and once again, thanks for reading!
