I got a couple of theories. First, though, hasn't anyone looked up Great Leap Forward and Green Run? It's pretty interesting. Green run was American experiment with civilians in 1950's through 60's.

The "Green Run" was a secret U.S. Government release of radioactive fission products on December 2–3, 1949, at the Hanford Site plutonium production facility. Radioisotopes released at that time were supposed to be detected by U.S. Air Force reconnaissance. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to the U.S. Government have revealed some of the details of the experiment.[1] Sources cite 5,500 to 12,000 curies (200 to 440 TBq) of iodine-131 released,[1][2][3] and an even greater amount of Xenon-133. The radiation was distributed over populated areas, and caused the cessation of intentional radioactive releases at Hanford until 1962 when more experiments commenced.[3]

There are some indications contained in the documents released by the FOIA requests that many other tests were conducted in the 1940s prior to the Green Run, although the Green Run was a particularly large test. Evidence suggest that filters to remove the iodine were disabled during the Green Run.[3][4]

The project gets its name from the processing of uranium at Hanford. Due to the higher radioactivity involved, batch processing waited 83 to 101 days to allow the radioactive isotopes to decay. For the Green Run test, a batch was run with only a 16 day cooling period. The unfiltered exhaust from the production facility was therefore much more radioactive than during a normal batch.

1960's should be the appropriate date for tranzit. Great leap forward was an idea of this guy in china..-

The Great Leap Forward (simplified Chinese: 大跃进; traditional Chinese: 大躍進; pinyin: Dà yuè jìn) of the People's Republic of China (PRC) was an economic and social campaign of the Communist Party of China (CPC), reflected in planning decisions from 1958 to 1961, which aimed to use China's vast population to rapidly transform the country from an agrarian economy into a modern communist society through the process of rapid industrialization and collectivization. Mao Zedong led the campaign based on the Theory of Productive Forces, and intensified it after being informed of the impending disaster from grain shortages.

Chief changes in the lives of rural Chinese included the introduction of a mandatory process of agricultural collectivization, which was introduced incrementally. Private farming was prohibited, and those engaged in it were labeled as counter revolutionaries and persecuted. Restrictions on rural people were enforced through public struggle sessions, and social pressure, although people also experienced forced labor.[1] Rural industrialization, officially a priority of the campaign, saw "its development … aborted by the mistakes of the Great Leap Forward."[2]

The Great Leap ended in catastrophe, resulting in tens of millions of excess deaths.[3] Estimates of the death toll range from 18 million[4] to 45 million,[5] with estimates by demographic specialists ranging from 18 million to 32.5 million.[4] Historian Frank Dikötter asserts that "coercion, terror, and systematic violence were the very foundation of the Great Leap Forward" and it "motivated one of the most deadly mass killings of human history."[6]

The years of the Great Leap Forward in fact saw economic regression, with 1958 through 1961 being the only years between 1953 and 1983 in which China's economy saw negative growth. Political economist Dwight Perkins argues, "enormous amounts of investment produced only modest increases in production or none at all. … In short, the Great Leap was a very expensive disaster."[7]

In subsequent conferences in 1960 and 1962, the negative effects of the Great Leap Forward were studied by the CPC, and Mao was criticized in the party conferences. Moderate Party members like Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping rose to power, and Mao was marginalized within the party, leading him to initiate the Cultural Revolution in 1966.

Anyone realize that alot of the things treyarch refers to is based in the 1900's. SO possibly the next map name could be a 1960's experiment maybe in russia. IDK My theory about the new voice is kinda wierd. the voice in Ritchtofen's head was speculated (by some people on youtube)that ritchtofen was doing the devil's bidding's. If that is so, I'm thinking that maybe Ritchtofen is having trouble to keep him under and controlling the zombies at the same time. Which makes sense cuz if he really wanted to help out these four new zombie slayers, he wouldn't send a shit ton of zombies. Also notice how the customizable weapons are only used for ritchtofens side. The jet gun using afterburners and a jet engine, the sliquifier uses laundry chemicals and other object. then some other hidden element in it to make it spray out a large shot of chemical liquids. But neither use element 115. I also think that ritchtofen knew samuel didn't want to do his biddings, but ritchtofen gave him his second chance to start over. What i wonder is what is the difference between ritchtofens and maxis's side. for tranzit, ritchtofens side was done.storyline wise, that's whats suppose to be done. Realize that ritchtofens side is harder in tranzit but in die rise, maxis side is harder. so if tranzit story, ritchtofens side was suppose to be done, is maxis's suppose to be done in die rise?

Why when we activate the radio tower for Maxis does Richtofen not use his powers to send us back in time to complete his side and why is the colour purple used instead of blue?

This is my strongest reason for not believing the garbled voice is Richtofen.

If anyone can awsner this with a legitamate answer, then I'll be convinced.

This is my first time looking at this thread. There are things I could comment on, but I want to respond to this, given the challenge.

The answer is that color simply does not matter. It doesn't. I don't know why you have that idea.

The Power-Ups are green. Some blue. Some red. The Mystery Box is blue and yellow. Sometimes it emits a bit of a rainbow. Gersch literally took color out of the sky. Colors have little to do with zombies. Purple was emitted from the Gersch Device. There are only two real distinctions:

Blue eyes means Richtofen is in control. Yellow means Samantha is in control.

Blue lights on the towers mean Richtofen owns it. Orange/red lights on the towers mean Maxis is in control.

So this light is purple. So what? We have seen a whole menagerie of colors. It is not a light tower, or colors of eyes. So unless we see some direct pair to this, which I don't see how that is possible, then it means nothing.

Also, about the "bringing time back", that only works if you are assuming it brings them back in time. If Richtofen could bring back time, he could just prevent all this from happening. The answer is he is simply resurrecting them (Grief anyone?). The thing is, he must only be able to do it to a few at a time. This would be why he has no control over whether they help him or Maxis; he can only bring them back if they DIE.
