hi everyone, been reading posts for ages now am an avid ee hunter, however almost everythings been tried it seems,.. or has it? i just signed up to let you all in on my latest achievment, thats right tob SOLO!! thats right this is legit,..

so if u had as much trouble as me getting this done with 2p 3p 4p give it a go worked for me,..!!

however its not for the faint hearted and can take quite sum time and a bit of back n forth with ur 2 controllers,..

all you need is heapsa bank, a second controller and a bit of luck, so heres how its done,

#1 read the 2p maxis guide,

#1.5 obtain perma juggernogg(optional but recomended)

#2 start a split screen custom match online, (recomend closing party privacy so no can join)

#3 you want 1 of the 4 sleeping zombies, soon as the game starts dont run or shoot or use turbine on the door, walk through stab every1 but leave a sleeper(carefull if 1 gets through the window and bumps ur sleeper ur hands will be full for the entire game(2 controls))

#4 leave dummy character in the depot(you can run around for hours on wave 1 unchallenged doing this, without picking up 2nd controller)

#5 buy door and take the bus direct to town(if you teleport from depot sometimes the turbine wakes up the sleeper)

#6 get cash, turn the power on,let maxis finish speaking, turn power off than stand right under the door that requires power(it wont shut and you'll hear maxis next quote)

#7 hit the box, you want ideally a gun your real handy with(no harm pap'n it ur goin there later anyways) the ballistic knife(to be papped for the revives)n u will also need emp, i also strongly recommend knuckles(when doing all the work the strategy here is you dont want to go down)

#8 get fresh turbine, just place ur old 1 in the lava at depot(easiest way to get rid of it)

#9 head to obelisk/spire/tob then sit in the corner under the tower(yes its safe)

#10 dummy character turn,.. grab a turbine, bump sleeper zombie to wake him up, then take him for a ride on the bus

#10.5(optional) hit box for reserve emp and maybe 1 decent gun(just in case, tob can be tricky)

#11 jump off bus with zombie and herd him to the obelisk/spire/tob(if u know ur way around jus run there he/she wont beat you to your main character)

#12 wait for storm above heads then kill last zombie, (u can get the avagadro/electric guy/him to spawn by round 3 or 4)keep second controller on ur lap now,..

#13 as soon as he spawns throw your turbine out next to where the nav table is or would be(safest)then whip up dummy control, place turbine opp side of table(safest(theres time before zombies start runnin in) place dummy character away from turbines(if looking at nav table(which is not required) south west is best) trust me,..

#14 keep behind dummy and smash all zombies while you wait for HIM to come under the obelisk, if and when ur dummy goes down pap knives revive instantly jus point and shoot(dont stress when u get em out ur faster and and the knuckles will kill all 1 hit its low rounds remember)

#15 once the Avagadro/him gets under the tower either throw the emp at ur dummy's feet or just behind the fence will do it(safer trust me lost way too many turbines to emp's)

#16 if done correctly maxis will say you did it but yet you need more power (if u dont get the quote u may have to try again, very annoying i know)

#17 whatever wave your in save the last zombie and with your MAIN man lead him back to power station(slow and steady wins the race now) once there run to the top corner(outside near ak74)u'll be running between there and where the bus arrives keeping the zombie busy while you get dummy character back to power(if the bus happens by jump straight on) but only if ur dummy guy!

#18 now the tricky bit, you have to run ur dummy guy back to power but it will take a couple stops so your main guy can keep running backwards and forwards u need 2 hands 1 must stay on dummy melee stick/button at all times to fend off denizens(recomend right hand for this) then jus switch ur left between running stick on both controllers can be slow but youve only got to do this once!

#19 wait for bus, then either put 1 character on at a time(recomend, easier but more time consuming) or you can get both on ride to depot, then jump 1 guy off and second stays on the bus to goto diner(make sure you know who ur zombie is with)

#20 place dummy turbine maxis will quote 2 obtuse vertices of the scalene, then place your main mans turbine, and maxis will say the tricotoumous is now complete,..

ACHIEVMENT GET 100%

this is 100% legit this is how i got tob, iam no troll or spambot

as proof my username is exactly the same as my x-box gamertag, Why1sTheRumGone i made a short edited vid and saved the entire game to my channel,

i believe i may be the first to do this, if not let me know i couldnt find anthing, if so all bragging rights hereforth belong to me, lol

i will also have you know i did all this without even a single drop of rum,..

i also have a richtofen solo theory i dont think will work involving a max ammo on the bridge, but thats another story,..

I was thinking that it would be more Solo oriented. Have a dummy player in a game with you is still considered a two-person game, since you are actually requiring two players to complete the Side Quest and not just one.

Nevertheless, it's good to see that you added detailed instructions on how to control the dummy account and utilize it to your advantage to complete Tower of Babble by "yourself". Nice guide overall, friendo! :)

I agree the topic is misleading however the thread is solid useful information. Unfortunately in a week or less the tips will be buried and searching this would pull a lot of other threads. Any chance we can edit this into the sticky tutorial at the bottom?

I only say this because of the one thing that has bugged everyone else, not being able to do the EE's by yourself. No ones posting that this is horrible or an outrage, the topic is the only thing that has bummed people out because everyone WANTS to be able to do it by yourself. This may be a sloppy unfortunate way to do it but if I'm bored one night and cant find decent players I will probably try it out.

Note that despite what you said about leaving the controller for hours, the truth is that when the controller times out, it signs out the profile if [gamertag(1)] it is a guest, which ends the game. Unless there is a setting that can be changed.

So be wary of that.

Must be a setting. I've played for 2 months with my roommate using a guest account and its never signed him out before (even leaving it overnight). Now xbox live has signed out my main account over and over in the middle of a game but that's xbox being xbox(loves to do it during netflix as well atleast 5 times a week). Gotta love having to pay extra then still having problems just trying to join a party or a game.

i feel that it may be a little misleading, so appologies to those i may have mislead. is there a way to change the heading to say something like..

TOB SPLITSCREEN SOLO METHOD, or sumtn like that,..

it does make more sense cause you still need the second character so its not exactly solo just technically,..

also never checked settings but my guest doesnt sign out, jus reactivate timed out controller soon as notification pops on screen,..

your technically right, i only call it solo coz u dont need anyone other than yourself to complete this, and a guest character of course, so it is a splitscreen solo method, yeah?

nice guide dude. I do have to say ive done the TOB EE like this on rictofens side. What you gotta do is have an actualy 2ed account and prep everthing. SO with ACC 1 have a max bank, and Acc 2 have a max bank. Then sign in both accounts and custom game it up. the hardest part is killing zombies as 2 players with only 2 thumbs!!! lol...

Nice guide, I tried doing this myself a few weeks ago but I couldn't even get the 2nd player to the obelisk, I didn't think to use the sleeping zombies at the beginning though! I will have to try this again, I just know I will probably end up going down getting both players back to the power room and then with 2 controllers in hand there's double the chance of one of them smashing my tv haha :)

I tried this last night and failed, Avogadro didn't spawn till round 6 and I threw both emps too early, then he red screened me and I downed. I just need some more practise. It does take a long time to get prepared for though, especially if you have bad luck with the box. One thing I discovered doing this is that you can't pack a punch with the power off so if you want to pap a ballistic knife your best doing that before hitting the power switch again. Building the machine, then having to visit depot for a fresh turbine, back to power then and then to town again took forever.

I think next time I'll make sure both players get emps, so if i do beat the avogadro then getting back to the power area should be easy.

once u kill avagadro you dont have to get both back to power, u could abandon dummy n respawn him at depot, jus remember to keep a crawler ;)

I managed to complete this last night, it took me just under 2 hours altogether, first 70 mins was spent on round 1 getting everything together. I found that by getting emps for the dummy player then using them at power on the last zombie made it relatively easy, as I never had to control 2 guys at the same time. I put the dummy on the bus to the diner, then got my main player to take the zombie on the bus to depot. As the bus left town though, the zombie died and the next round started! I panicked but then remembered there is a lamp in town so I had to use that quickly. I got the achievement about a second before my main player went down.

What I would say to anyone else who is thinking of doing this, at the end to maybe instead take the dummy to depot with the zombie, emp it there and then main guy could use the lamp near the corn field. There will be much less chance of the zombie respawning or even just dying out. One of the players would probably go down shortly afterwards but that wouldn't matter as you would get the achievement first anyway.

But anyway, thanks Why1sTheRumGone for your guide, I honestly thought this wouldn't be possible on split screen with one player but I was wrong!

good job, where theres a will theres a way,.. didnt think to use dummy emp's to put last zombie to sleep after killing him, was always focused on conserving my precious emp's even though the job was already done, lol

it is definately time consuming, but hey, 4p richtofen side i imagine could take alot longer,...
