Die Rise Question

I have a question about Die Rise, as you might have guessed from reading the title. When you load Die Rise or about to play Die Rise with people online, the picture in the bottom left-hand corner says:

Great Leap Forward

Die Rise

It also says the same thing on the loading screen for Die Rise. So is the map named "Die Rise" or is it named "Great Leap Forward"?

The actual map name is Great Leap Forward, but as there is no other modes to play on it yet, I believe people call it either name. Both are acceptable.

The three maps in Black Ops II are Nuketown, Green Run, and Great Leap Forward. The five modes in Black Ops II are TranZit, Survival, Grief, Turned, and Die Rise. Since the Die Rise mode is exclusive to Great Leap Forward, people often get the terms mixed up.

But why are Die Rise and TranZit game modes? If anything, they are mostly exactly like Survival (with the exception of buildables) and the names Die Rise and TranZit are better than the actual map names Green Run and Great Leap Forward.

Doesnt really matter either way people will know what u mean. Just some people get real upset is u call green run tranzit for some reason.

TranZit and Die Rise are all-encompassing modes of Green Run and Great Leap Forward, respectively. It is similar to Survival, except that you can go to more than one place. In the case of Green Run's TranZit, you can go to the Bus Depot, Diner, Farm, Power Facility, and Town. In the case of Great Leap Forward's Die Rise, you can go to the Hotel and the Sweatshop. Great Leap Forward just doesn't have any cut-up Survival areas like Green Run did.

I understand the concept and im fine with that but i just dont like people having a go at people. Like ive sed 'i was playing tranzit...' And been told 'NO you were playing green run smh'. Like it matters at all.

Well that was incorrect of them. You were playing TranZit AT Green Run. They had it wrong. Think of it like playing Football (TranZit) at the Football Stadium (Green Run).

"What map you playing at?" Football Stadium.

"What are you playing?" Football.

I might as well just call them TranZit and Die Rise. But I must say, the game modes sound way cooler than the actual map names...

Tranzit & Die Rise have 'side quests' - that makes it a game mode.

Makes no difference to me, as long as people understand what I'm referring to then no harm done. Though I do understand when to refer to it as 'Green Run' as opposed to 'Tranzit', same thing for Great Leap Forward/Die Rise.
