~Stalemate Associates~ A Theory Regarding The Original Four

This started as an idea that I tossed out in passing, but the more I think about it the more it seems to make sense.

Anyway, this would most likely pertain to the 3rd or 4th DLC, as the third and final spire will most likely be completed in the next one.

Firstly, I'm adopting the name of this thread from Portal, so read up if you don't get it. The name is REALLY important for the theory.

In Portal 2, you are trying to replace a corrupt core computer with a functioning core computer. Since both computers are fighting equally for the power over the facility, you assume the role of "Stalemate Associate." basically this means you manually replace the cores since the higher powers (computers) are at a perpetual disagreement.

Let's consider this possibility: maxis is powering up spires in order to generate enough energy (like richtofen did with the Vril device) to perform a MPD soul-swap. As you know this required the power of over one hundred souls and several unique artifacts, which explains the huge extent to which maxis is working to match this power. It seems so me that his goal is to remove richtofen from power and replace him with another, in order to restore done degree of order to the world.

But let's think back to moon. Richtofen gathered souls from the surrounding area. However, the three spires seem to be generating this energy remotely, like radio towers, and for the same purpose. Instead of replacing the Vril device (a completely unique device) maxis uses the towers to generate the necessary energy instead.

Now let's think again about moon. Pretend like the MPD is all nice and powered up. What now? Maxis can't just zap richtofen out of control. He needs to be MANUALLY EJECTED, like Edward did to Samantha. Now, who do we have readily available, on the moon, ready to eject and replace Edward? Go on, guess. the original four are our stalemate associates!

This ties in several things that are rumored / speculated to make a return, such as the map moon itself and the original crew.

The shortest path from point A to point B is

a straight line

through an MTD

by thinking with portals.

Hmm.... It's possible regular teleporters don't work anymore due to maxis and richtofen's contradictions... But I don't want to just play moon again, purhaps richtofen comes to us? And the MPD re-locates to somewhere more earth bound?

Or purhaps in the 3rd dlc we blow up the moon! Then we can play in the debris of the moon using a space-bound TEDD to travel between chuncks! There'd be a space station, the MPD room under the mainframe, a massive tube...

I had a similar idea...That it involves the MPD, i Personally think that Maxis is trying to take control of the zombies himself, and his side of the EE is making the towers target richtofen. and richtofens side are making the towers target Maxis (wherever or whenever he is located) i personally am siding with richtofen as while yes, he is evil, i feel he is the lesser of two evils. Maxis is far worse IMO.
