Die Rise starting strat with video

This is the way I start Die Rise.

It's intended to get monkeys ASAP so that you are free to 'spin' the box, so you don't get the liquid gun until after monkeys.

1, 2 and 3, bottom of spawn elevator. You need 3750 points to get the bowie.

Round 3 it's often good to jump across to the power area, because it's easy to get overrun up there.

Turn on the power and jump into the Bowie elevator, but make sure you have killed all the zombies on 3 before, you really want round 4 to be starting because otherwise waiting for the last zombie on the roof can take for ever.

Get your stab on, buy Jugg and then pretty much go straight to the box. You can stay here until round 9 with no issues, and it means you can hit the box whilst in rounds. All you want is monkeys. Even if the box moves, you can stay until the end of round 9 and will have enough points to buy your knuckles. Ideally you get them before the box moves and then you can build the liquid gun immediately.

It's all about trying to get things moving as quickly as possible and not doing unnecessary map loops.

Here is a video of a game I just played, 15 minutes worth which gets me to round 9 with 4 perks, monkeys and the liquid gun.

I do things a little differently in this video as I had a different goal in mind this game, but the principle is pretty much the same. I also had a lot of points in round 3 and tried to pinch a nuke on double points at the end of 3 for 800 and so had to do round 4 as well.

My starting strategy is this. And I planned on making a video for it soon but other videos came out first so The video will probably be coming in about 2-3 days.

Kill 2 zombies and move the three trample steam pieces to the elevator and put those three pieces on top of the trample steam ride elevator back up and grap the last piece and kill 3 more zombies while waiting for the elevator to rise back up. I then finish the trample steam and go straight to key room. here is usually where my strategy goes into either two paths.

sometimes i stay around or two and build up points by knifing fast with the trample steam (if you didn't know you can knife 2x as fast w/ the trample steam) this will allow me to get around 2500 points.

another possibility is that I go straight over to power on round 1 before killing the last zombie. I always grab a key before running over. When I jump over I look for any pieces that are on the top. so if the main body part is up there I just do the moving method and transport the part right in front of the double elevator. rarely are all three parts on top(but if they are, you are extremely unlucky and might as well wait and buy two doors and run to build the sliquifier). Usually im very lucky and I only have one part to transfer down the elevator. If you do have to transfer stuff make sure you are still holding the key because the key for some reason will remain in the air and will not go down the elevator. after building the three parts (main part, fire extinguisher, and trigger) you need to run to the remington. you should still have your key and by this time the remington elevator should be either at A. right at your floor, or B. just above you and you will have to wait about 10-20 seconds. then jump on and ride it up a floor. Jump off and go get the sock/manequin foot thing. but before you do this use your key to call the elvator back down. then go get the foot and finish the sliquifier. if you do this all right the two power elevators will be right by the sliquifier and you can ride one of them up and then jump back across to the trample steam.

so if you go with plan #2 you will be on round 2 w/ the sliq/trample/ and m1911. you will then use the m1911 to score some points and use the sliquifier if you are in trouble. points won't be a problem because you will use the trample steam to score 2k easy. after the boss round I would go get jug and still have about 3-4k to do what I want. I then trade out the m1911 for a pdw and train right by svu or by the pdw itself till i get around 15k around round 15. and then you will go get set for the rest of the game.

This may sound like a lot, but if you perfect it like I have, you can have the sliquifier AND trample steam on round 1 in like 5-6 minutes. and if you want to you can set up your trample steam and jump back over to key room and build up points.

Great strategy, friendo! I've been paying close attention to various other topics in which you posted about the drops being more beneficial than a few extra bullets into the zombies. I've been trying to stray away from the ol' extra bullet strategy and I found your setups to be wonderful. Can't wait to try this one out! :)

WKZ - haven't been on PS3 for 6 months, in fact it's in a different country to where I am at the minute.

BS - I see merit in what you do, but it's not for me. No point building the tramp so early or the liquid gun. Building the liquid gun early means you can't spin the box for monkeys. I like a really really fast start.

I played a game the other day on my 2nd account which is only to test ranking. Got to 80 in 3 hours and 40 minutes. No monkeys, no trample steam. Paused it overnight, and next day had BO2 server not available.

The video I actuallly listed does have me with the headshot perk, which I didn't realise until rewatching. Doesn't make too much difference to be honest as the key figure is 3750. It is definitely nice to have more like 6k before you go upstairs so you are close to getting Jugg too, but in no way necessary.

Why wouldn't you be able to hit the box for monkeys early? I like building the sliquifier and trample steam early so I don't have to do it later. all you would have to do is build both under 6 minutes and go back up to pdw which would take maybe another minutes and train there. you could probably get another 1000 points by the middle of round 3 just by knifing and then be able to spin the box.

I like building it early because its the best time to do it and its the fastest time to do it. if you do it later you would have to wait for the elevators to line up and if you do it past round 6 you would have a zombie running after you which makes it a little harder in the elevator. on round 1 you do not have to worry about any zombies messing with you. and its easier because the way I do it, you never have to wait on an elevator unless I do it to fast and then i have to wait for the Remington elevaor for about 30 seconds.

I'm an impatient person. I'd rather play hard for 2 hours, then have a 5-10 minute chill down building the trample steam.

Monkeys - well tbh I used to only play with 4 perks, and so had sallies and liquid gun. So if you have both of those, you can't spin the box. You have to wait for each weapon to disappear. As my current record stands at 81,000ish to get monkeys, there is a significant time difference between being able to switch weapons, and wait for them.

Trample steam - I used to play bar room only, which meant I wanted Whos who in there. So I'd rush the first 4 or 5 rounds in just over 5 minutes so I can see which perk is there. You are completely right with your reasoning, but it's just not for me. I want power on only when I can afford Bowie, so I can get that immediately as the lift is there on turning it on. The bottom of the spawn elevator is the fastest place to start, so I do it that way.

My gameplay has changed now though, I don't really go down on Die Rise now I've played it so much, and so I take 6 perks normally. That would make the monkey issue irrelevant but habits are hard to break :)

Monkeys are a pain in the ass to get sometimes... but i didn't know thats what you meant, i thought you were saying that it wasn't possible to get since you would have to wait longer to get points to spend the box. but yea maybe you could just build the sliquifier and then not pick it up? and yea I have played die rise so much I barely go down either.

we should play sometime this week I have spring break and will be on most of the time besides today since i have a dentist appointment at 3:00 meaning i will have to get off for about an hour and be back around 4:30 est

Sorry mate, although I do have 3 full days without my family there are all pretty much full with planned games.

alright. just played myself and got to 53 and the first time I hit the box got monkeys. two hits later got the ray gun (which I use on the last few zombies to clean them up instead of getting new trample steams every few rounds)
