Easter Egg Discussion

So with the map not so far off, and an even bigger reveal set for Sunday, April 6th, I've been thinking about the Easter Egg a lot recently.

With the announcement of Purgatory, you have to think that it'll play a role in the EE.

I believe that by going into Purgatory after you die, you'll be able to discover things- things not necessarily in Alcatraz, but in a different area only accessible by dying. I believe that Purgatory will allow us to see things that the living cannot see and will allow us to grab certain items and bring them to the real world, allowing the living to build objects to further the EE.

I have a feeling that this specific EE will be more confusing than Die Rise's, but not necessarily tougher. This EE will have to make us think and play together as a team, but at the same time, with Purgatory, will make us play as stronger individuals.

I know this is kind of rambling but I'd really love to hear your guys' thoughts on the Easter Egg.

We all thought that Who's, who, would play a part in the Die Rise Easter Egg, and it turned out to be false.

I cannot imagine Treyarch would really expect us to take a down, in order to complete an Easter Egg, but then again, from the description that Benjy (Booooo) put out, if we end up on the bridge mid-game, then it could be possible that the only route back onto the island itself, would be to use one of the electric chairs, thus taking a down.

Clever move, that will force people to enjoy the game, rather than protecting a pointless emblem, that in reality, means nothing.

Hope this IS the case regarding the EE... but I am still a little dubious.

I hope its possible to do an EE Solo with less steps but a smaller reward and a 4-player EE with more steps and a larger Achievement/Trophy similar to CotD.

That would be nice. And it's completely possible seeing as how a different team is working on this map.

My stance is that an easter egg discussion prior to the map's release is pointless. With no bearing whatsoever, I can theorize that the EE for MotD will be finding four different flowers scattered throughout the map that each player has to sniff in order to make a unicorn spawn that has to kill 50 zombies, etc..

The plans for a side quest that have been revealed cannot be an easter egg. The steps have been revealed and in order to be an EE, the steps must be hidden or at the very least concealed.

Once you do start playing this map, you can come back to this thread and outline steps you've taken towards what you believe to be the EE, ask others to duplicate your steps so they can be confirmed, and/or post videos detailing your progress, but to simply have a discussion asking others what they think the EE will be is fruitless, to me.

Actually, I think the purpose of this thread would be better suited to being a haven of information for figuring out the Easter Egg when it comes out. That way we don't have 50,000,000 threads over the exact same thing.
