Alcatraz's 1937 Escape

Research/Gameplay: RequixEclipse

Disscusion/Gameplay: Naitrax

For years, newspapers reported sightings of the pair. On December 16, 1937 a uproar of Prison Guards franticly begin a mass search when 2 prisoners never came around for 1:30 roll call. Inmates of Alcatraz had high hopes for this dastardly duo. Alvin Karpavics(Karpis) stated he seen Cole and Roe! They broke into the Mat Shop! That glass must of chapped some britches though.

Theodore Cole

Prisoner #258

Armed robbery and kidnapping

Oklahoma,US

McAlester Prison+Leavenworth Prison (Previous Escape Attempts}

Transferred to Alcatraz in 1936.

Ralph Roe

Prisoner #46158

Armed robbery

Leavenworth (unverified)

Transferred to Alcatraz

Every one including Warden Johnston wanted to know how they even got out of the building!? Well my friend ill tell ya HOW! They popped through a opening by sawing their way out. straight through a frieken metal sash! You'd swear Cole was some type of meat head. On account of he was the one that broke the pad lock.

Stories were frequent about how "Roe" and "Cole" battled their way through the barbed wire hiding in the water, but the ungodly amount of tires also makes for a crowded getaway.

Method of transportation you ask? For these knuckle heads a Raft was their Maid of the Mist.

"The current then picked them up and carried them off in the direction of the Golden Gate." Said Karpis.

Not much was seen after that. The Fog was much to thick. Rough tides on the day of the break, which one would think that made survival improbable.

Authorities declared them dead.

Alphonse "Scarface" Capone

&

George "Machine Gun" Kelly

Alcatraz's 1st Warden

James A. Johnston 1934-1948

You'll hear prisoners sharing thoughts about how Warden Johnston received yearly postcards from South America signed "Ted and Ralph".

Will bring more info in the next couple of hours wooooo!

Great job Requix! Very well thought out, and amazing find! This could give us even more hints at a possible time for MotD to occur!

Great work.

Thanks Naitrax looking forward to some more Research and Brainstorming with you!

If it helps, Alcatraz was only a federal penitentiary from 1934 - 1963, so that gives a pretty good timeline of when MOTD could have occurred.
