In the new trailer for Mob of The Dead, there is a pick-up for a Tomahawk. When thrown it goes straight through zombies.

After thrown, it seems to return to you.

This also really interests me, i'm looking forward to seeing just what this weapon is like to use and if it's an effective weapon or not- perhaps its the other wonder weapon i've heard so much about?

There apear to be drop types for this weapon... Although that just may be the greif mode...

It's also been pointed out that the Tomohawk can return Power Ups that have been dropped by zombies. I think it was in the 'making of' video that they showed the Tomohawk retrieving a Nuke for the player.

Maybe it's like the Ballistic Knife? But Idk, it's standing up straight like that.. It is hard to believe it's not a powerup.

It's definitely a weapon you can pick up. Remember in Moon when the QED would spawn weapons? Looked like that, except in a green hue.

Or like the Death Machine, which was both a weapon and a Power-Up.

Purhaps the drop is there only if a player wasn't there to retrieve it because they moved after they threw it... And it can be picked up by anyone with a missing slot for tomahawks...

To be honest why haven't tomahawks been in zombies sooner?

Due to the achievement name "Feed the Beast" , this makes me imagine one of two things;

[*:bj3jxs6l]The Tomahawk Is linked to the hellhound, which makes sense to me seeing as it's the hell's retriever (I.e golden retriever). Perhaps when we feed the hellhound we create one of these.[*:bj3jxs6l]The tomahawk has a "soul"This would mean that the tomahawk itself is the beast and we feed it the zombies souls (Similar to the MPT)
