I don't think the fog cycles is what it is talking about. I posted this explanation on another thread.

This is how I'm thinking the map will go.

You start off with a cut scene of the four mobsters, and in it they die, whether it being from the zombies, or they fly the plane over to the bridge, and then once there they use the electrical chair.

Then they are in Afterlife/Purgatory mode, and then have a limited time to do things, like give power to perk machines, or traps, or do other things. Then you can go back to your body or it automatically brings you back there after the allotted time has run out. How the mobsters bodies got back from the chairs on the bridge, I have no idea.

So after that the four continue to fight off zombies, and they probably have forgotten about that they just died, but they know they had a plan to build a plane and escape. So they find the parts, build it, and away they go to the Golden Gate bridge, where they must fend for their lives or take their lives. So eventually they find the electric chairs and take their own lives, and then come back to Alcatraz in Afterlife/Purgatory mode, thus creating this "cycle" that has been stated in the achievements.

But one of the achievements in breaking the cycle, which means you could either fly away somewhere else, or maybe I was thinking you rewire the electrical chairs into some kind of a teleporter from someone else's help.

I dunno, I don't believe the building of the plane is the Easter egg merely and I quote "Side quest" there is more to MoTD than we are being fed. I reckon this is a proper Easter egg achievement.

Oh god... What of the fog rolls in randomly, and when it does denizens will attack anyone that's not inside or in a light sourse.. Including the bridge, the docks, and the roof.. Oh GOD that'd be unpleasant...

In Mob of the Dead, Execute the escape plan.

This is the Easter Egg achievement. The 'breaking the cycle' achievement is a 10G or Bronze Trophy one. I'm absolutely sure that this refers to dying in Afterlife mode, or running out of Afterlife meter.

The cycle is just flying to the Golden Gate Bridge, ''killing yourself'', respawning in purgatory mode on alcatraz, reviving yourself, fly to the Golden Gate Bridge, etc.
