Mob of the dead: Backstory

As we're all aware, mob of the dead is a complex map in which four inmates attempt to escape a zombie filled prison over and over and over... This map takes place in the 1930s... Or so we're told...

Here's the theory I beleive:

We know from the radios that Arlington was killed on the bridge before the plane flight, and the other three were killed shortly after via eletric chair... Not by zombies... So why are they back here? In alcatraz? EASY! Theyre dead...

This ENTIRE map isnt real... None of it... It's all just a bit of Arthur Arlington's hell... A constant battle of trying, and failing to escape their sins... And theyve been at it longer then you think...

Let's say (simply for example) that die rise is held in 2025...

There is no timetravel here... They've been constantly fighting zombies for over 90 years... Nothing has changed... Until now...

But before that a bit of backstory on Arlington: He loved syfi, this is proven from the fact he has writin his own outer space adventure comics quotes... In fact, when he crossed over he wasnt COMPLEATLY damned... One little ray of blessing given to him for one reason or another... He got to choose his own hell... He created the eletric cheery perk, simply out of his head! By mixing his syfi intrest with the events that for came upon his freinds... (Hint eletric chair---> eletric cherry)

But this one little perk wasn't enough... Al continued his fight with his "freinds" over and over and over, always dieing, always having to restart, never being able to escape... Even with the help of the hell's redeemer and the chest... It always ended the same...

The crew eventually went mad, forcing themselves to forget their own memory's, but left plans scribbled across the prison... The only member that couldn't truly forget is Arlington, he just couldn't forget... And peace VERY pessimistic about the whole process..

Then one day... Just out of the blue (blue-eyes that is)... Something changed... Eletric cherry was no longer the only perk... Now there were strange flashing perks all around the map, 7 differents ones to be exact:

Juggernog

Speedcola

Double tap

Deadshot

Pack a punch (not a perk but still flashes)

PHD Flopper (On the boat, unobtainable)

Mule kick (On the boat, unobtainable)

My guess is that SOMEHOW richtofen sent these perks back, because he NEEDS the cycle to be broken... And he can only assist but so much... Purhaps it is a way to establish dominance over the devil or something, yeah that's not going to come back and bite you in the spleen...

It worked however, the perks caused the warden (Brutus) to appear and attempt to remove them... (they should have just sent the Assension monkeys... Jk that would be awful)... But he is (quite easily) overpowered and sent back into the depths of hell...

But it doesn't matter... Despite brutus's interference, the crew manage to use the perk's help to accomplish what they need... They finaly reach the bridge for the final time where a choice is made.... If the crew kills al, the cycle is kept and the devil triumphs over the doctor's influence as al relives his hell with the other 3 who's memory's are wiped...,

If al kills everyone else however, richtofen can proclaim his dominance over hell and an unknown result takes place... Is Arlington set free? Released from existance? I don't know.. Purhaps he's brought back into the real world... Anyway you slice it though.... Al's life isn't getting much better....

That makes sense....even those of us who haven't had the pleasure of playing are aware there is a repeating process. It's totally plausible that almost a hundred years have passed.

Although I hope they keep the "devil" influence in this map only, not to start THAT discussion, but if there is a devil there is a god, and if this games ends with a rocket wielding Jesus I'm going to be a little ticked :lol:

There are too many open ends left from the first BO (hell WaW too!) to be changing the whole ingredient to the storyline don't you agree?
