At the backyard at the mansion, if you shoot the water fountain with the ray gun, it breaks and a hole forms. I lost connection right after that. Does anyone know what's down that hole?

It's just a hole and you die if you fall down there. Trust me, I made that mistake and will not be doing it again.

you need both fountains destroyed..

One in the maze via the Ray Gun or MK2

Other in front of the church/house which needs to use booze with Leroy to run into it
