Excellent job! And so time-ready as well....

The main thing I noticed about this song is that it's fairly short, so maybe, JUST MAYBE we get a second song along with it:

A Clark song: Wouldn't make much sense considering samule wasn't born yet... Maxis maybe? Idk I never fully broke-down the clark-game symbolism.

A Malukah song: Means someone has died... Let's hope it's not the O4....

A Siegman song: Although Samantha isn't born yet. ANY one of us would love at least ONE of her songs here.

An "other" song: WOuld mean something... I wouldn't know.

What I suggest is that Kevin should've (if not already) written a song with Mala, Nova, and Elena all singing in the song in some fashion. It'd be cool if they were in synch and lyrically would apply to the O4 AND the N4 in some fashion. As like I said with Mob, there MUST be some reference to Green Runners somewhere.

I got a story for you of my own

We know that in the past many of the songs came from Samanthas point of view.

I am starting to think more and more that we have been "dolls" "playing" in Samantha's story of what was, is, and will be. In other words we are in an infinite loop and Samantha is explaining how it got this way.

She wants to introduce herself and say that she is sorry for watching the "characters we play as" suffer in this story, she knows the feeling of being drowned or downed alone. Like the time she thought her father was dead and was stuck in the MPD...

She has a story for us and it begins in origins... I believe we've already played through the rest of her story already... Just look at the rest of the lyrics...

Samantha is the Bearer of needs (powerups in Der Riese and telling story)

She is the war, the story she tells is about the "war" (or basically all of the zombies maps and storyline we have played). She is in "strong" as the teller of the story, aiming the "Weak" or the elements of the story.

The dictionary definition for sheperd (the non-sheep one) is

a person who protects, guides, or watches over a person or group of people.

Samantha is watching over the story, telling it from a GOD point of view, we just didn't know that yet.... or did we.

But now she is re-introducing herself to tell us what is REALLY going on in the story, and how it started...

No matter what that site says, those lyrics are not right. Even if you go through and listen to it, it says got, not have. There are other mistakes in there that I know are incorrect. "Aiming the weak" is one such example.

With the release of Hail to the King Deluxe Version today in Australia, I have managed to procure the official lyrics to the song. I am updating the OP with them now. Here is an image from the Booklet:

I really don't think that Avenged should be in this map, and in zombies overall. I guess they were OK for Call of Dead since it was a spin off map, but these are the original 4 boys, therefore; Elena and Kevin should be doing the music. :x

I do think there will be another song on the map. I don't think this song will be in the map. It'll be a Carry On deal. Not to mention Treyarch said that A7X contributed the song for the opening cinematic, not the map.

I'm also pretty sure this song is about our good pal Edward Richtofin, particularly this part:

Slight mistake on your behalf. For some reason you have "sinful choices" instead of "simple choices"

But I honestly don't think this could come from Edward. It's too much about remorse. And aiding the weak. If Richtofen was the teller, the entire song would be:

"AH WUNDERBAR YOU DELIVERED THE PART

KILL THE WEAKLINGS AND EAT TART"
