Because Richtofen has blue eyes.

Richthofen. is on our side right but blue eyed oombies mean he controls them right WHY?????

The zombies in Origins do not have blue eyes. They have purple eyes. That being said, Richtofen is not at control at this point of time. It isn't until the events of Moon, however, that he does gain control of them. Thus the eye color changed to blue.

He controls the zombies at those points in time because he has been in control since Moon. Richtofen seeks for more power by commanding the crew to follow his instructions. At the same time, he has a habit of toying around with the survivors via zombies and whatnot. Just because he is using them as his pawns doesn't mean they get off easy.

Richtofen explains in die rise that his control is fragile and limited, due to Maxis blasting the earth with missiles. So Richtofen probably does help, just not a whole lot because he can't, and probably doesn't a lot of times too cause he's sadistic :p

Or maybe the the fact that Richtofen doesn't really control motor functions, and at the time only talks to him.

Yea im just saying zombies has a great story to it that really isnt told in game besides doing ee just at the end it got real chopy and is kind of all over the place their are so many points in the story that could have made more since but they cannot go back and fix what has already been done
