What are your first thoughts or reactions to Origins? Discuss any strategies or reactions here. This is NOT the place to discuss the Easter Egg. This is a, "Hey, this map is awesome, especially when you do x" thread. Because of spoiler reasons, anything relating to the steps of the Easter Egg or how it affects the story will be deleted.

Having played up to Round 8 already I can safely say this map his harder than most.

I love it so far. The quotes are great and nothing is buggy. The Giant Robots and Mechs are scary as hell when you're least expecting them.

Wow...Just...Wow.

Treyarch really has outdone themselves. I played 15 mins (school). And all I can say is that it was worth the wait.

I actually didn't mind that I saw a few spoilers. You really needed them. Without some other there tips, I would not have survived.

Leaderboards name it "Digsite 64".

MotD was called Alcatraz Island on the leaderboards but Alcatraz Prison on the globe.

Are there any gamemodes besides Origins on this map?

no, just origins.

But it seems like we will have quite a lot to do in origins, I'm feeling very overwhelmed ATM, gonna try to focus on getting perks and guns, then explore but I keep getting lost :lol:

Can somebody explain the dead-end caves with the Knights, I don't really get that.

Also, map is awesome, five-seven is now a wall weapon and I get my Fav gun back

It seems that the price of guns and doors scale to the number of players some way

True. I looked at the videos, and it seems that the price to activate the generators increase by 200 points per player. Not sure about other things...

But I do noticed a debris around the PaP area, that costs like what, 2250 points? Seriously, that's quite a lot.

well I was definitely right in my prediction of the map being difficult. I think we are easily at or above "Five" and Shangri-La in terms of difficulty. Only played solo for about 30 minutes, but from the looks of things, we got the anti-buried here difficulty wise lol

Awesome awesome awesome. Tranzit with a whole bunch more shit to do! When the robot almost killed me my surround sound shook my living room. It's a good thing you can feel him coming lol. I loveeeeee the mp40! Feels like black ops 1. Don't really like how you get stuck in mud all over the place. That's how I died first time from the robot that drops the staff parts. Not impressed at all with the sound quality. I don't understand why black ops 1 gun sound effects sound better but they definitely do to me. I feel the way I did when motd came out. Eventually we will figure everything out! Enjoy friends!

just been watching a few streams here at work, and this map is f***ing ENORMOUS! lol

i mean i t looks SOOO cool, i just hope soem of my good friends will get this as they have moved on to other games....

I absolutely love this map, the weapons, the tank and the giant mech which is strange seeing as it stomped on me three times and blew out one of my surround sound speakers but apart from that this map is a must have the elemental rods are a bit of pain though

I love the atmosphere of this map, and my goodness is it challenging solo!. But I've managed round 12 with players, and now I have decent understanding of the map. Is it me or do zombies hit you a lot faster.

Where are the perks located at exactly? The only two perks my friends and I have come across of Quick Revive and Speed Cola.

This map is confusing as hell to me. I ended up back in the same room so many times thinking it was new.

Played a few matches with my girlfriend and some randoms.

Really loving it so far. To us the best thing is definitely the side-objectives of the map. Love how they require you to stay in a tight spot and work together with your team. Then get rewarded for succes, punished for failure. Keeps the map from becoming repetitive.

Writing is as sharp as ever. EE-song rocks.

The difficulty of this map is perfect. Hard, but not ridiculous for the wrong reasons. There is a bad re-spawn glitch, though. More than half the time, I spawn on top of someone else and it causes me to go down.

I've got to say, This is THE hardest map i have played since Shangri-La or Verruckt. BUT i must stress Online play with randoms is a no no. I've played many games online where people try to turn ther generators on and screw everyone over. Overall this maybe the best Zombie map We have ever seen.

Feels like outdoor MotD with a ton more things to do, and more setup time than TranZit. This is the hardest map on BO2, I think... at least the first several rounds are.I have probably eaten over 50 downs today from this map. You die so fast it's not even funny. And if you go down, chances are that if you don't have monkeys, it's game over.

I feel like this map is indeed challenging; it's gotta be if I couldn't get past round 12 in the first 5 hours. This is the map we've been waiting for: a map where you can really show how much skill you've got (right now, at least). I think they overdid the elemental staffs part though.

Like i said, so much about this map echoes Mob. Feeding the dogs, filling the chests. New Mystery Box designs. A lot of unexpected weapons in the box. Multiple places to buy the same wall guns. A really annoying, randomly spawning mid0round boss like Brutus (but way, way gayer). Lots of places to get stuck. Tight, narrow passageways with no open training spots. Build your buildables wherever you want (the Maxis Drone is pretty cool, but I can't find the last Zombie shield piece D: ). Annoying PaP routine (though the machine looks really neat).

Overall I think this is gonna be remembered as one the best BO2 maps for hardcore Zombies fans. I like it so far, however I have been feeling like raging a lot because of really stupid deaths.
