A Very Annoying Glitch

The first time I get down to the PaP staircase, I always stay there until I have all of them PaP'd. One game though, when i'd stand in the mist, they would go away of course, but they wouldn't come back. I stood there for a minute or two, then I was like, "Well maybe they are just stuck somewhere. I get out of the staircase, down the stairs back into the maze and the left spawn point right when you get out (rocks, gate), they were all standing there, shoving each other. Like a monkey was there. It was useful for surviving but anytime i'd stand in the mist, that'd happen. Even if I accidently stand in it. So I killed myself out of frustration because i'd always have to run back up and kill them all and run back down just in case it would stop. It didn't. Anyone encounter this?
