Samantha's Room: Origins vs Kino

I was looking at pics of Sam's old Kino WW2 room today, and noticed they are very similar to her room in the cut scene, layout and size wise.

They both have the same door and door location, double shelves, wood wainscoting, wood flooring type, window type and location, rooflines to the sides of the window, a window stoop, and red area rug! And where a coat rack was, there is the mannequin.

And of course the both have dolls of our heroes, and teddy bears.

I hadn't realized this before. What do you all think? Tribute or meaning or both?

Good observation! Maxis does do a good deal of his research in Kino, so it's definitely an interesting connection there. I would understand that the Faust posters and such would be placed before Origins' cutscene, as well as a few additional placements (bed near door versus in back, extra shelves/toys).

Could it be that the room - when teleporting in Kino der Toten - is destroyed after the sirens? Perhaps even immediately if you consider the possibilities.
