Some of my unanswered questions.

Hey everyone, I rarely post new topics but I felt like I was junking up other topics with my random questions so I made this thread for me, or anyone, who has a question that has been unanswered. Most of mine are up for debate, and some are pure personal opinion but here it goes.

1. The Argathan zombies, the ones that appear through portals when you power the generators on Origins. Do you think they were lazy by reusing the Denizen portal from Tranzit? It's pretty much identical, except it is rendered blue instead of orange/yellow. Or do you think the portals offer a small connection on how we were able to instantly teleport with the use of an average streetlight?

I have totally drawn a blank on my other question, wow. Anyway I'll come back and add it once I remember it (head cold today not the most clear headed right now). Let me know your thoughts.

I think it was a good thing. With what they did with the Agarthan zombies, they finally explained how the Denizens were able to create portals. Maxis in an audiolog details the portals, saying the 115 brings forth objects from other places in time and space. A teleporter is essentially a time machine without the time travel. I think it all fits rather cohesively.

I agree, initially I thought they were more experiments like the nova crawlers. Now I believe that they are interdimensional beings brought forth by the 115.

So you believe that the two portals are the same, and not just a re-rendered object to save time?

So building off this question, do you still think Denizens were man made? They have the ability to dig portals. Even though the street light is required, I think it doesn't help the actual portal, more or less, it just scares them and they escape.

Then there is the fact that the players on Origins cannot jump through theses portals, yet the ones made by Denizens you could. We might be able to say because of the generators it may be disrupting our ability to travel in the Argathan portals.

Some might say it's just a feature to let us cover a bigger distance at random because of the size of the map, but whether they are right or not, I think it should at least be looked at, or discussed one more time.

EDIT: I see now, you're saying like the guy above me said. I too believe they were not experiments and had a hard time believe that from the beginning, granted there was a good amount of evidence to point towards it. But whether they are captured or man made, they would have been experimented upon anyway.

DUBRU EDIT: I remember my other question, the liquid that fills the generators, that is Vrill energy? It looks awful similar to the blue liquid on the DG2 and a PaP ray gun.

I think the portals are of a similar nature.

I think the Denizens were man-made, given by the secret underground chambers with cages and Soviet and American technology. A less convincing argument could be made as to how such things could exist naturally.

The difference in whether we are allowed to jump through it could be explained either by time, intelligence of Agarthan zombies, or inability of Denizens.

The generators are actually called the 115 Conversion Generators. They convert 115 into a liquid. 115 isn't naturally a liquid, so the conversion releases a lot of energy. That is what the blue stuff is. 115 in its purest form seems to be blue, by the way. The blue stuff in the Ray Gun and DG-2 were not liquid, however. They were plasma.

So, was thinking about Call of the Dead and realized, did we ever find out what that carving was on the ice wall at spawn, looking at quick revive, it would be on the far left of the water.

I never read much on it after BO2 came out, was it a rocket like most people thought?
