Most Disliked Character?

Different from the average poll.

So who do you dislike the most in the zombies storyline?

NOTE: Due to the 20 option limit, if your least favorite character isn't on the list, they're a part of the "other" group.

I feel like we need more criteria for why we don't like them. For example, I dislike Brutus because he is annoying gameplay-wise. I dislike Marlton because his voice is so annoying. There are different reasons I dislike certain characters :P

With no criteria given, I am gonna have to go with George Romero, for obvious reasons.

billy. he is so damn annoying. marlton may be a little bitch, takeo may be a dick, and robert mac may be a prideful nerd, but all three pale compared to billy's annoying arrogant additude. he even makes elizabeth from civilization 5 bearable! and she is just a total jerk! i just want to go in the game and cut his hands off and slit his throat. and then i would nuke actralaz. then i would gather the ashes and remains and send them to a black hole.

sorry, billy handsome is the most annoying video game character ever. i swear i get a headache when i play as him. i also do bad when playing as him.

*teleports back to treyarch studios and replaces billy with self*

 i am awaiting a thank you.

Marlton and Billy by far. Marlton's a vain jerk who can't even deign to return the feelings of this hot girl who wants him, let alone be nice to anyone besides her, or be grateful for being revived. Billy's a stone-cold killer, but then again that is the point; he's the one among the M4 who does not want to repent.

The Panzer is cool, but as said, I could do without the claw. If they count, I also hate the Denizens and the Jumping Jacks, the latter for being too difficult. I love-hateingly call them xenomorphs for their quadrepedal stance, their overall difficulty in killing, their shrieks, and their manueverability.

I love all my characters. But if I really had to scrape the bottom of the scum bucket...I would have to choose the Panzer Soldat. Good idea and concept, but an instant game-killer for all the wrong reasons. The claw isn't even a reason why I'm upset with them. It's the crazy spawn issues and weird glitches that happen when it is spraying fire at you.

I do so love all the characters, they all bring something new, fresh and unique to the table.

That is, except Misty. Apart from her exaggerated breasts, she really is a one dimensional, cliché character. Not terrible but, not great either. She just, bounces around the place. Like a silent female Takeo equipped with boobs and burps.

Oh and that Panzer Soldat. He once spawned right in front of me, scared me shitless.

[billy] even makes elizabeth from civilization 5 bearable!

Hahaha. Made me laugh. :D

i am glad i made you laugh heather :D

now misty is alright in my opinion, but the way she is designed makes you feel like your playing a porno. i get why they wanted to have a female character, but make it less about her rack and more about her personanlity. i swear everytime i go on codtv to find a funny picture at least 1 picture will be showing her jugs. its sad, really. 3arch should redesign her so her boobs are smaller. but that probably wont do much.

the times we live in

Wtf have you been watching!?!?

Anyway, I had a inkling that the Panzer would be one of the most hated.

I can tolerate him on easy, but on Original.... I swear I make a sailor swearing sound tame.

Brutus.

When MOTD first came out, Brutus was the game ender for me.

Plus as my friends know, Brutus seems to hold a personal grudge against me after I made fun of his lack of hair.

George Romero

The most annoying character.

On Co-op I always have to have someone "babysitting" him to make sure he doesn't mess up whatever we're doing.

Playable character wise it's Takeo. [Post Origins]

He's too BORING.

Emperor this, honor that.

N4 wise it's a tie between them all.

All of them are annoying in a way. Marlton's voice annoys me, Samuel's constant paranioa annoys me, Russman's "past" is bugging me, Misty's too damn loud.

MOTD has got to be Sal.

He seems to be that kid who no one likes, but he demands he's the boss.

nathan, its not what i have been watching, its what my brother has been watching :/

Really I like misty, she's like a female version of tank from bo1, when he was actually badass. Idk could just me as I prefer tomboyish girls to girly girls. Eh.

I'm fine with her breast size, what annoys me is that that's her only distinguishable characteristic.

Like in a discussion why you like certain characters, one might say:

Richtofen, because he's crazy, hilarious and his not so subtle romance with Nikolai.

Castro, he is short-tempered and his spanish outbursts are hilarious.

Takeo, while not a fan-favorite, his Japanese proverbs and seriousness make him very likeable.

Misty, oh yeah, uh.. apart from her boobs? I, uh, she likes Marlton shotguns, I guess.

To be honest I rarely get to play as her, so I may have missed that one thing that makes her great.

Like I said, she's not terrible, but she lacks that special spark that makes everyone stand out.

This is what i have been saying, misty is not a bad character(i would rather have her then mac or billy)but really people only can remember that what they liked about her is her rack. i did enjoy how she is tomboyish but she can get annoying. but i am saying is that its sad to see people enjoy her for her goods. it makes you wonder how sadder people can get.

The only character that I'm not really a fan of is Takeo. Compared to everyone else, he's just bland and uninteresting. I can only hear "honour" and "for the emperor!" so many times before I just get annoyed.

The four soldiers and the four survivors were designed to be stereotypes. The original were stereotypes of nationalities. The new were stereotypes of social behaviors. Stereotypical American, Russian, Japanese, German, southern woman, nerdy scientist, paranoid nut, and old black man. I like all of the characters, and to hate the new is the same as hating the old, unless bias is involved.

Honestly, I think a discussion about the most hated character is a bit disconcerting. It's disconcerting for it focuses on the bad rather than the good. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws. I think comments like "annoying voice" is just downright wrong. You might have an annoying voice. I get offended when people attribute it to Marlton, for I find similarity to myself there. People only think he's annoying because he uses big words and long sentences. I think evaluating the characters' worth based solely on the surface of the characters is unfair.

My favorite is Samantha, but I cannot pick a least favorite. Here is my list of my evaluations of the playable characters:

Tank (WWII) - While he does let his anger get the better of him, he has a good heart.

Nikolai (WWII) - Not the purest of intentions, but at least his drunkenness keeps him from getting too angry.

Takeo (WWII) - Upholds to his standards but slowly lets his culture slip as he beholds various wonders

Richtofen (WWII) - Fights an internal conflict between his more evil and less evil selves (schizophrenic)

Kennedy - Not afraid to get his hands dirty and defend his country himself

McNamara - Quite accurate and punctual in the face of danger

Nixon - Can be quite humorous, otherwise gets irate and serious, foreshadowing a dark time ahead

Castro - Despite animosity, he proves a fortuitous ally in the time of need for the United States

Sarah - Wishes to help those she doesn't know just out of kindness, in spite of her own danger

Robert - Similar to Sarah, but more apprehensive about his own safety

Danny - Believes in cultural causes for the situation he is in, but still tries to fight his destiny

Michael - Similar to Robert, but more inept at the situation to which he is faced, tries nonetheless

Samantha - Corrupted innocence, a child who has seen horrors, and still tries to right a wrong

Misty - Flamboyant, overly compensates for the loneliness that afflicts her

Marlton - Timid but true to himself and changes for the sake of no one

Samuel - Believes in absurdity, but sometimes absurd is true, and because of his honesty, others know it too

Russman - Seen a lot, did a lot, but he fails to remember it, like a senile James Bond

Billy - A hitman, but he regrets his decisions deep down, even if he doesn't show it

Sal - Despite having high power in a low place, at the end he realizes he has nothing to show for it

Finn - Tragically heartbroken, he was dirty, but honest, and she didn't appreciate him for it

Al - Timid and easily fallen to peer pressure, a spineless warmhearted fellow in cahoots with the mob

Tank (WWI) - Protects his country dutifully, no matter the cost

Nikolai (WWI) - Cares for the community, especially women, children, and families, a people's person

Takeo (WWI) - Rooted in belief, distrusting of those around him, he stands true to what he holds dear

Richtofen (WWI) - Feels guilt yet thinks not of it, knowing what must be done to ensure safety for all

Oh and btw, the Panzer Soldat isn't a character. It's a species. That's like saying the Denizen of the Forest is your least favorite character, as I'm sure that would win a lot more votes.

Personally, I like 'em all. All of them have traits that make them a fun and three-dimensional character to play as, such as Misty, the ironically teenage defiant turned group leader.

On the "Enemy" side, I liked how all of them added a new challenge and prevented a 100 percent cakewalk. I'm probably the only person in the world, I like the Panzer Soldat the way that he is right now. He speeds the game up and encourages people to stick together instead of being a one man army. The only thing I dislike is how multiple can spawn. Just one is more than enough to me.

If I had to choose one for the playable character side, I'd pick Finn. He acts more like a tough guy in MOTD even though we have one that plays the role perfectly. Whenever I see I'm playing as him, I internally groan because I'm playing as Billy Handsome with a sore throat (NO OFFENSE TO THE ACTOR, of course. Your voice is fine).

For the Enemy/Boss side, I'd choose the Denizens. They were like dirt on top of a cake with spikes in it. The fog already confused you, so I don't see why we had to fight such an OP boss. If he latches onto you and you don't have Galva yet, you're a bad spot. They slow you down and make you lose your very thin sense of direction. I know they were supposed to prevent people making ezmode trains, but why not make it REALLY hard to see Zombies in the fog? Like, you can only see the blue in their eyes once you're within 3 feet of them.

Much like above, I like them all. If I had to choose one, it would probably be Finn. I dunno, he's just not as "exciting"? I dunno, I just prefer Sal, Al and Billybob.

I'm surprised to see people dislike Samantha. Apparently someone didn't get a Max Ammo

I personally think it's because she "faked" the whole storyline, if Origins' ending is true. :P

Also glad to see people like Arlington too. Weasel most hated my ass.

Posted

I think it has more to do with how some people might get annoyed at her talking a lot and constantly bugging you in Origins. I personally don't mind it, but others might.

As for the Weasel, people feel sorry for him. Usually happens when you're murdered.
