Off-Season Comics

It makes sense doesn't it? During the loong, looong, off-season, we get a bi/tri-monthly comic book. It could slowly build up the first map of BO3, or simply give us background stories. It's obvious that Actvi/Trey have the talent for full-fledged comics. As much as I hate to say this, they can even make a huge profit from it (asssuming modern day comics are 4.00 bucks a pop) by selling it for $20-25.

Though it's a bit late into the series to start doing this now (My money is on them finally ending it in Black Ops 4), it's still a great idea that's a win/win to both parties.

It would be an interesting concept, but I wouldn't imagine that it would become a reality. I think most of us hardcore zombies fans have already shelled out enough money for the game. One hundred and twenty dollars for the game and DLC(and I don't play multiplayer.) and I feel that I have already paid enough.

What would be cool is if they ever did produce the Zombies only CoD game that we all have been dreaming about. They could put together a full graphic novel with a zombies care package(or mystery box ;)) that would answer the questions we've been dying to have. That would be the coolest gift to close the series with.

I've been saying this since WaW. It would be fucking epic if the did a little graphic novel series to fill the gaps and other details between the maps. It doesn't even have to line up exactly. It could be events that take place along the side of whats being built up in game elsewhere. And considering they've been following with the comic routine of loading screens, I half expected this by now.

I had fun reading the 4-part comic book mini series for The Last of Us. Looks like the story DLC is going to tie the story from the comic with the story from the game. They had a very small limited print run, so the first print editions were selling for big bucks on eBay. Thankfully the trade paperback recently came out and its reasonably priced.

I'd love to see Treyarch do the same kind of thing with COD Zombies. I mean clearly we are a community that wants more more and more of the story to be told. I have no problem with it being told in different forms of media
