Emoticon (Smileys) Challenge

Now, I'm not saying that these will be implemented as it's really not my decision but I was thinking for the photoshop users among us. Would you be interested in designing some smileys CoD Zombies related?

 

They need to be the same size as the current emoticons and they need to be suitable for dark backgrounds.

 

Anyone fancy the challenge, the more the merrier.

This is an amazing idea, I would love to see it! Unfortuntely my photoshop skills do not go far past what you can do on MS Paint. I know we have a lot of talented folks here that are up for the challenge.

I know I said same size as current smileys, but to be honest, they are a bit small. Thinking about it, I think we would need to increase them in size maybe 32x32? Just to give a bit more definition to them?

Yeah, I think you're right. First time actually creating pixel art, I was already struggling quite a bit with the 20x20 pixels limit.

Yeah 32x32 so much more dfintion but not overly large and not too small.

 

I'm going to say 32x32 minimum and maximum size for any submissions to the emoticon challenge

I'm now toying around with 32x32. While it does take more work and time, the more pixels make it much easier for my sketches to get from paper to my screen.

Well I certainly like the size, I'm blind as heck so the bigger the better! lol

 

 

Wish I had the time to learn how to do these, I have reasonable photoshop and illustrator skills but way too busy for this project, I'll be looking forward to seeing what is chosen though.

I gave it a quick shot, but I'm using my TV instead of my monitors so I couldn't be very efficient with it.

I worked on a few zombie heads with the different eyes and such, how are they? I'm considering removing the neck so they are just heads.

These are looking good, remember though that the smileys if they did get added they would need to mean something. For example

Hoping we can change the "Give BRAINS" icon to the Maxis Brain Model from Origins?

 

Would someone be able to implement this? I can supply different sizes & file types if need be.
