Can guest accounts rank up?

My rank is lvl 5 blue eye skull, and a friend i play daily with for the last few months and have not ranked up at all from the single crossbone. Talking about one console split screen online matches?

Doubt it.

Even if you could, the servers don't save the account's progress. It would be reset every time you exit the game.

Guest account should be the same rank that the host is.

Yeah what Swapping said. They are an exact copy of your stats, they even have the same amount of money in the bank as you do.
