Usernames determine your maturity.

I have no study on this, but in my experience what you choose as your username determines how mature you are. You wanna know how? Choosing "fart specialist" (yes this is real) brings you WAAAAY down on that scale. Choosing "I make Anarchy" (another real one) brings it up :) and guess which one will be the better player?

So, what do you guys think of my prediction?

Well, adults are aware of the concept of shame, therefore they don't feel the need to make screen names like "Fart Specialist". You're very right though. It's not an absolute, but there is a very good chance that the operator of a childish and stupid screen name is in fact childish and stupid.

My username is SpeedoMonkey, but while I may be immature at times, in real life I'm like the most mature person people know.

And I'm still good at zombies, as well as other games. Maybe I just don't care lol.

Your observation holds no true merit.

Agreed. Let's look at it this way. If I ever encounter a monkey wearing a speedo, I will look at that primate and say "my, he must be intelligent". How many monkeys has anyone seen wearing clothes? How bout a speedo? That's true innovation right there. Just saying

If I owned a business, I would want to have applicants include their gamertag on the job application if they have one.  Sorry "Bangedyourmom69" I think we're gonna go in a different direction. "420bLaZiNaLLdAy", would you be willing to submit to random drug testing?

I think this would be very useful in Human Resources

Idk, my username is inferno, and I made it in 6th grade. I didn't know what it was, I just knew it had something to do with fire so I thought it was cool lol. I kept with it for 3 years, so that's not really true if you just keep the same name from when u were a kid

Yes. That is totally brilliant.

Where would my usernames end up on your list?

Infact, that's actually one of the reasons I lowered the case on this forum. On psn it doesn't matter about case, people will still find me if they add me and people hopefully weren't like "Oh god, who's this tool who shouts a lot".

Hmm, I wonder how @12_yr_old_virgin (aka @ - Jay) feels about this? A mid thirties, successful business professional & possibly one of the smartest guys on CoDz, but when he has an internet handle, he becomes a total troll.

PS - why is this in the Black Ops forum?

That's funny. xD

PS - why is this in the Black Ops forum? When it comes socializing and interactions, how one acts almost completely depends on his or her target audience. There is absolutely no need to be coherent and professor-esque when you are on PSN and/or CODZ. In fact, I act like an ass/jerk/immature/dick mostly because I do not get to be one elsewhere.

Good topic though, very relevant and very interesting.

My username is cardinal numbers meant to represent letters. Also, surprisingly not taken, as it usually is.

Most forums i was Askansir, either 'ask-answer' or 'ass-cancer'. So make of that what you will. I simply knee that it would always be open on any forum.

I think I qualify as having a mature handle. It's actually full of information, it's half 1337 speak (because I'm only half elitist), it also contains my area code (for easy location and to represent the pride I have in my city), and the word Eternal represents in a single term the thoughts I have about life and death. Pretty profound information contained within a gaming handle. B)
