Zombie Survival Files: Idea

Here's an Idea I have for the next game: Collectable files.

Much like permaperks, these little files spawn randomly, at any point, in any game mode.

The difference is: Files once collected do not effect your game, but instead return to one's basic menu, where one can read up on the files they collected.

There would be all kinds of files for all kinds of things:

Surivers:

Marelton Johnson

Samuel J. Stulenger

Russman

Abigail "Misty" Barrington

"Tank" Dempsey

Nikolai Belinski

Takeo Matsaki

Doctor Edward Richtofen

Controllers:

Doctor ludwig maxis

Doctor Edward Richtofen

Samantha Maxis

???

Drops:

Carpenter

Double points

Nuke

Max-Amo

Insta-kill

Fire Sale

Zombie blood

Perks:

Juggernog

Double tap (2.0)

Speedcola

Quick revive

Deadshot Daquiri

PHD Flopper

Staminup

Mule-Kick

Electric Cherry

Vulture's Aid

The wonderfizz

Map findings:
Collected via map discovery: Adding the hatch to the diner, finding the cabin in the woods, feeding all 3 dogs, killing all the crawlers without missing, entering the ghost house, entering a robot, ect. Once it's been done, it is added into this part of the book.

Zombies:

Normal (Shows variants of normal zombies)

Armored

Flaming

Crawler

"Him"

Nova-Jumper

Brutus

Ghosts

Panzers

Argarthian Templars

Weapons:

Not even going into it...

Now to collect information on each of these subjects is different:

Map findings can only be completed once one fulfills the unknown task: Just look around, experiment, and find things.

Drop notes can be collected from file-drops: Drops that look like files. The files collected will go towards the type of drop on the map: No carpenters, no carpenter information. Furthermore it takes multiple drops to get a full page of a file to read.

Zombie notes are gotten from experience killing zombies, getting hurt by zombies, and avoiding a zombie's attack.

Weapon notes are taken from one simply using the weapon enough.

Perk notes are taken actually from the wonder fizz, sometimes after receiving a perk, the WF will leave a note as residue in it's chamber, collect it for info.

Surviver info is collected from playing as that surviver longer.

controller info is gained from playing a map with that controller.

These files also contain one's total kills, head shots, downs, deaths, games played, doors opened, perks drunken, highest rounds on each map, rank among world wide players, AND can be viewed by other players in a lobby.

I have an idea. Since zombies is always affiliated with comic books.....how about instead of notes they are trading cards? Each one had an image on the front and on the back the info. Then you can trade them with friends and try to collect them all.

Also let me add that perhaps some cards are very rare while other cards are common.

For example

Edward richtofen is a bronze card that has basic info

Yet

Demonic Announcer Richtofen is a platinum cart with new secret info

Or maybe even events

Richtofens Revenge

Did we do that?

Welcome aboard!

Ooooh… Even better: What if the cards effected camos? Like if one finds the super mega rare "golden ray gun" card the PAPed ray gun is golden? Or if one finds the MOTD edition LSAT it gains epic lava camo when upgraded.

This idea would work well in multiplayer as well. Especially if one gains the ability to swap cards with friends in lobbies.

Furthermore how would one get cards? I think it should just be a drop that appears with a card in it, whomever picks up the card drop gets the card, and these cards can appear in any game mode.

I think maybe some zombies drop cards and then they appear in your scrap book. You don't know what the card is until you unseal it.

Then some cards can only be obtained by completing the easter egg.

The Higher round you get too the more likely it is you will get a rarer card from a drop.

The card glows yellow and has a question mark on it

Some cards are exclusive to certain maps and game modes.  more cards are added with DLC.

Maybe even some cards come in sets. You need to collect all 4 cards to see the full image and once you collect all 4 you can read the back of the card.

Then when you Collect all the cards and complete the scrapbook which is hard to do you are rewarded somehow

Classic Cheat Mode

A new game mode that does not appear on leaderboards.

Infinite Points

Big heads

wunder Box

always pack a punched

No mans land

Elemental Fists

All perks

W@W mode

All Dogs

All specials

Giant Zombies

Mini zombies

AND MANY MORE!

That would be a bit useless if everyone had to complete the scrap book.

Perhaps once the scrapbook is completed one can unlock the TRUE endgame achievement? Or maybe special character customization cloths? Or maybe special camos? Or the wonderwaffe DG2 in every map?

It would be cool if they somehow brought back the "Death Cards" from WaW back with a new twist specifically for Zombies as a way to spice up the game or something that could only be used in certain online modes to trade with other players. They could go as far as "gambling" too, where before a game starts, the hand dealt could have both postive and negative effects to either you, the other player(s) or both. And as mentioned, you could find, trade and collect said cards.

Just some kind of mode where it's basically like a card game before hand, then effects take place throughout that game you play together and see how well you play under the challenges at hand.

But speaking of files, I think it would be badass if similar to the notes found throughout Der Riese, the maps would actually have well hidden bits and pieces of pages to the comic book loading screens that are missing scattered throughout all the maps.

It'd be pretty cool if these files were assembled by Broken Arrow. That would give those guys something to do. We know they're connected to the story in some way, this would seem like a logical connection.

Once you've collected some files you wish to examine in detail, you can go back to the main Z menu, and look them up in a sub-menu called Broken Arrow's Database. There you can look up any info related to the outbreak, like wunder weapon schematics, character bios, major events, et cetera. Kind of like BO 1's computer terminal.
